A Work in Progress....

I've fallen behind
in my Christmas decorating...

It's a work in progress...

a labor of love...

I enjoy each layer...

this is as far as I have gotten...

I want to add some pine sprigs,
and some snow...

this year I plan to keep the colors
in the parlor very quiet...

except for a pop of PINK....

I just made this wreath,
from vintage glass ornaments...

it took me all year to collect enough...

I will share a tutorial for it next week...

lights out....

except the Christmas Tree
which is up but naked...

sparkle...

and reflection...

I will be back soon with a room tour
 and tree reveal...

I even have a pink tree
in the bedroom,
I can't wait to share...

I'll be joining...

I Couldn't Wait Any Longer....

I have given into temptation...

and started to do my Christmas decorating...

mostly
I am just putting the trees up...

not really decorating them yet...

because,
I really do like the trees just bare...

and uncomplicated...

soon
I will adorn them...

these pink balls,
are part of a craft project,
I'll be making over the weekend...

but, for now
I couldn't help scattering them around...

it's nice to stop for tea,
and admire the twinkling lights...

I've had this rosy mug,
quite a while,
and just lucked out and found a matching plate...

they are happily reunited...

a rosy mug
calls for a rosy tea pot...

I made pomegranate scones the other day
for the first time...

they are delicious day old...

but,  when they are fresh
the little pomegranate seeds are so hot and juicy
and they just pop in your mouth...
Mmmm

Here is a link to the very easy recipe...

Roses and Rosemary...

Winter is in the air,
Christmas songs are playing everywhere...

I usually wait until
after Thanksgiving to
start decorating for Christmas...

but,
I have already started,
just a bit...

I thought
I would share my fall sideboard
with you...

 these photos are from
last week
before the frost hit...

actually,
I don't think I have shown my sideboard,
since I painted it
and added a plate rail...

I have been very lazy this fall!

bringing out
the silver is one of my favorite fall things,
I love it's warm glow...
\

and,
candlelight....

I always bring my big old Rosemary pot
up close to  the house for the winter...

and right before the first hard frost
bring lots of sprigs inside...

the smell
transitions me right into a winter mood...

those Eden Roses
from the top of the arbor,
made it inside too...

Pinecones gathered in October,
are getting ready for a Christmas makeover...

I had planned to bleach them,
but am afraid of the bleachy smell...

so,
 I think
I will white wash them instead...

and polish the
warm glow off the silver...

I am in the mood
for a bright and shiny
White Christmas...

I am linking up to..
