My Little Pink Tree...

I don't usually have a Christmas Tree
in the bedroom...

but,
 I have always wanted one...

when I found this
little pink table topper tree
marked down at an antique store's
  after Christmas Sale...

I knew it would be perfect...

it's a beautiful faded pink,
which is strange because it's a Barbie tree,
under all those tree skirts is a very hot pink stand!

in my hunt for ornaments
for my ornament wreath,
I added quiet a few vintage ornaments
 to my collection...

these sweet glittered silver
were among the finds,
as were the beaded garland,
I strung willy nilly around...

when I started taking these photos
my tree lacked a topper...

so I tucked these feathers in...

why not,
Christmas is all about going over the top!

the trees soft tones,
keep the bedroom quiet...

it is lit only by a small strand
of lighted "mercury glass"  balls...

a nice warm glow...

I hope something special is sitting under
your Christmas Tree...

I am joining...

Thanks so much for stopping by...

Christmas in the Parlor....

Are you ready to see my Christmas Tree?

I set it up in the parlor this year,
for the first time ever...

I decided I just wanted to  decorate with snowy whites,
mercury glass,
crystal
and small pops of pink...

I loaded the tree down with crystal
and clear glass...

because, I wanted it to be all shimmery
like a chandelier...

every little movement or breeze in the room,
causes the tree to tinkle and twinkle...

It's magical,
I just love to sit and stare at it late at night...

I treated my self to some roses
and fresh greens today..

a cherished musical piece...

it plays Silent Night
as it spins...

the only change to my mantle
was a few inches of snow...

a mini blizzard...

I am always dreaming of a White Christmas...
and sometimes you just have to take matters
 into your own hands!

the weather man is predicting some tonight,
but it won't last...

my stockings are hung...

above the faux chimney with care...

a bell for Clarence...

a cozy view...

I'm off to finish baking cookies...

tomorrow,
I'll show you my little Pink Tree:-)

I am joining...

I love it when you stop by...

A Scented Garland...

Over the weekend,
I made this little scented garland
for my kitchen window...

it all started simple enough...

I was visiting Karen's lovely blog

and in her post
she shared her beautiful nature inspired decorating...

I was smitten with her dried orange slices,
and had to make some...

her complete directions are here...

on Pinterest,
I had been saving a recipe
for these little Cinnamon Ornaments...

they are just Cinnamon,  Apple Sauce and cloves...
so easy...

the house smelled divine
as they cooked...

and still smells divine,
in the kitchen window...

like sunshine on a cloudy day....
