Fickle Skies...

 The calendar may say Spring

is a few days away....

 

but, it sure feels like Spring already...

 

 

the bee's are buzzing,

the birds are singing

and the frogs are croaking...

 

beauty abounds...

 



as do

Fickle Skies...

 

sun, wind,  rain

repeat...

 



so today I hung out

on the back porch...

 

I planted this basket full of Primroses...

 



 

not the classic five petaled Primrose,

 

but,  these irresistible ones with

layers of ruffled petals...

 



 

We have been having the loveliest of Springs...

 

so much is in bloom,

I can't wait to take you on a

Spring Garden Walk this week!

Gently...

March

began gently...

 

in like a lamb...

 



I spent the morning

chasing away all traces of winter...

 

I brought my lamb statuary

in to sit on the mantle...

 



the rain

was falling softly...

 



 

the first Camellia bloom

popped open...

 



 

in the afternoon,

I bought a couple of flats of blooms

to fill my front porch planter...

 



color!

I am thirsty for color...

 



 

It was a perfect beginning,

I hope yours was too...

Happy March...

Awakenings...

 

The heavy perfume

of Winter Daphne,

awakens my nose in late Winter...

 

 

an old friend,

whom your excited to see each year...

 

announcing the

end of Winter is near...

 

 

I filled a salt shaker

with the tiny blooms...

 

it's all you need to fill a room

with the Smell of Spring...

 

so sweet...

 

I'll blow a whiff

your way...

I enjoyed another beautiful day

 in the garden...

 

and was surprised to see

Honey Bees at work too...

 

busy as a bee...

 



the opposite of busy as a bee

was what Daisy was today...

 

lazy...

 

after a long day in the garden

we are all pretty dog tired tonight...
