Sweet Tea...

I am a firm believer,
in finding the Sweetness in Life...

taking the time for,
small moments
and simply things...

with
Valentines Day coming,
it feels like things should be Extra Sweet...

so I brought out
 my Limoges Tea Cup....

because,
I find those Painted Roses
Irresistibly Sweet...

taking the time
to treat yourself to an afternoon nosh...

Sweet...

I find vintage bone dishes to be perfect
for holding a few cookies...

some Pretty Pink Primroses
made there way home from the market with me today...

destined for the front porch planter,
they made a brief stop
at my tea table today...

Sweet Day to You My Friends...

A Swell Day...

After a week of heavy fog,
the sun popped out this morning...

we popped outside too,
eager to soak up a few rays...

dry out a bit...

while the garden is pretty much
a lot of brown...

But,
there are
some swell things happening...

the Magnolia's furry catkins...

the blooms of my
 New dawn Viburnum...

are still sweet,
but some have yellowed around the edges...

in my short
stroll around the garden...

the Crocus went from the tight buds in the first shot,
to these bright spots,
in a sea of brown...

 Hope for an early Spring?

maybe,
but, Winter has yet to stop by for a visit...

for now I will enjoy my little taste of Spring
and I hope you have too...

Thanks for joining me on this Swell Day....

New Beginnings...

The New Year
has begun...

I am a little slow
at getting started,
I was lucky to have my Mr.  home
 for a long holiday vacation...

I was gifted this gorgeous calendar,
from a very special blogging friend....

the pages are fabulously,
decadently
glittered...

Thank You Jacqueline!
for beginning each of my days
 with sparkle...

your friendship
means the world to me!

another beginning
arrived the day after Christmas...

when my Husband presented me
 with this little bloom...

a little garden bloom in Winter,
decadent...

I planted this little New Dawn Viburnum
last Spring,
knowing it would be an early bloomer,
but, in December...
just WOW!

as if
 Winter blooms
are not enough treasure,
the smell,
Ahhhhh...

after that discovery,
I looked around the garden a little harder...

pushing aside
the blanket of Fall leaves...

tiny treasures...

we haven't ever had snow yet!

I hope your year has begun
with good friends,
glitter
and small treasures too....

Happy New Beginnings to you my friends...
