An April Garden Stroll....

“April hath put a spirit of youth in everything. (Sonnet XCVIII)”
― William Shakespeare

Tis' true in my heart....

I feel like a child each Spring,
in awe of it all,
and just want to play in the dirt each day...

I'd love for you to take an April Stroll with me...

the Spring Garden
feels less fussy than the Summer to me...

it's still a bit unkempt from Winter,
it's more meadow like...
wild...

the Anenomes heads are nodding...

Thought to bring luck and protect against evil,
legend has it that when the anemone closes its petals,
it's a signal that rain is approaching.

maybe we should have brought an umbrella?

seas of Woody Hyacinth
add to the Meadow
 like feel...

Woodland Phlox,
is newly planted into the garden last year...

Money Plants...

Viburnum
perfumes the air
in the back corner of the garden...

I am eagerly waiting
 for the Lilacs to pop...

they are waiting for some sunshine...

I'd also like for you to meet the Boettchers,

I met them on a Easter Afternoon drive,
and thought they were the Sweetest...

I thought you would too :-)

Thanks for Strolling with Me Today....

Happy Easter....

"’Twas Easter Sunday.
The full-blossomed trees filled all the air with fragrance and with joy."
 - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

We are so lucky to be having
one of the prettiest Springs
I remember...

perfect for an egg hunt...

candy eggs may be nice,
but I do prefer
my baskets full of flowers...

Woody Hyacinth
and
Money Plant  blooms...

Happy Hunting...
May your day be filled with Fragrance and Joy

Happy Easter!

Tea with Some Bunny...

I have to admit,
Easter snuck right up on me this year...

still,
I found a little time for an Easter Tea...

as a make shift slip cover
I slipped this lacy blouse
over my chairs back...

it was a nice way to admire the details...

White Chocolate Bunnies,
are perfectly sweet...

I couldn't resist a potted
Easter Lily....

the very last blooms
from my Fuji Cherry Tree...

the tree is right outside my kitchen window
and I have never enjoyed a tree more...

the blush pink buds open to pure white flowers
and the Hummingbirds are constantly a buzz..

it makes doing the dishes a pleasure...

Easter is my favorite time to
bring out a pair of lacy gloves...

as a young girl
I remember just how grown up and fancy it felt
to wear gloves on Easter...

Happy Easter
May your Basket be Full :-)

Thanks for stopping by today....
