Love of Roses...

I have been enjoying going out to garage sales
 this year...

I've found some gorgeous new treasures...

the below painted roses are on the top
of an amazing antique cheese dish
I'll share with you in a minute...

As a young girl,
I would sit and watch my grandmother paint roses...

she was a talented China Painter

I believe this sparked both my love of
Beautiful China
and my
Love of Big Fluffy Roses...

I have Pinterest boards dedicated to
if you are interested in seeing them...

and of course a couple boards of Roses too...
and

big and fluffy roses...

this is David Austin's
Charles Rennie Mackintosh...

I just picked up this clock at a garage sale...

such a pretty face...

she whirled right into action...

a sweet creamer
with garlands of sweet blue flowers...

like I need another creamer!
they seem to be one of my weaknesses...

Faded Roses...

here you can see more of the creamers
floral garlands...

here is the better look
at the cheese dish

I promised you...

isn't it amazing?

I am going to love it for a little while...

and then I will be selling it in my Etsy Shop
that I am in the process of building...

Bella's Rose Cottage on Etsy

I will also be
giving my Instagram Readers
a heads up of item going into my shop...

so if you want first crack at my Etsy Items
you can watch for my presale announcements on Instagram...

I couldn't resist this dreamy shot of the Cheese Dish
reflected in my old mirror...

Have A Great Day My Friends!

Thanks for stopping by,
I love the time we spend together...

Blushing Lucy's Crown....

 Blushing Lucy...

is the last Rose to fully flourish in the garden,
always a pleasant delight as the others wane...

I don't know is this is her true name,
but it is the one I was told by the old Rosairian I bought her from...

to Blush...
the uncontrollable telltale sign
of a hearts fluttering......

there is no doubt Lucy is a true beauty...

but,
she is also an uncontrollable rambling wild child...

which endears her to my heart even more...

untamed,
as all hearts should be...

as she runs freely along the lattice
and twines a crown around my fair statues head...

I realize I must make Lucy
a true crown...

a crown of roses for her hair
simple grandeur...

queen of the fairies...

may you find simply grandeur in your day too....

The Loss of Abundance...

They say
that Summer does not start here
in the Pacific Northwest until the Fourth of July...

as we greet Summer
we say ado to the Spring Garden...

the abundance of Roses,
fades...

they still bloom on,
but nothing compares
to the grandeur of the first flush of Spring...

the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Rose
a David Austin Rose...

as if,
he isn't beautiful enough to look at,
the classic old rose scent is divine...

Blushing Lucy
is a late bloomer...

her show has just begun...
I will share more of her with you this week...

the soft filtered light of Spring...
has made way for the bright clear light of Summer...

Feverfew...

Russian Verbena,
six feet tall and proud...

the first Garden Phlox
beginning to pop...

leaning lazily
along the picket fence
on a Hot Summers Day...

the first Coneflowers too...

I started a nice collection
last year I am eager to see the
new varieties
in their mature state...

as the heat rises,
sit back,
dip your toes in the waters of contentment...

Happy Summer!
may your days be filled with abundance...
