Goodnite Garden...

The air is crisp,
and wet...

the garden is quiet...

are you ready for a final garden stroll of fall...

a blanket of leaves is quickly falling,
the trees nearly bare...

and the flowers are few...

still they are surprises...

like a handful of Cone Flowers,
shooting out of the already dead stocks...

It is time for Dahlias to shine...

the wet cold days have revived the Hardy Fuchsias,
they look like a breath of spring...

the Hummingbirds are delighted...

a Pumpkin nests
in the last Geranium blooms...

the Beauty Berry
shows she is best of season...

tiny last blooms of the Ballerina Rose,
take a final twirl...

and turn quickly to fruit...

other Roses
try to bloom with the best intentions,
but they are tired...

I gather the seasons final bouquet...

Some blooms perfect,
others tattered,
each treasured...

Goodnite Garden

today am joining...
and

Thanks for strolling with me today...

A Halloween Past...

Since I have been goulishly lazy this Halloween,
I thought I would resurrect an old post
from Halloween's Past...

..................

An old graveyard seems like a good place
to spend Halloween....

Unless you are afraid?

A good place to to be at dusk
when the world of the living
and the world of the dead
are only divided by
a thin line...

energy swirls in the air...

Try to move quickly
we don't want to get lost in the
maze of pickets...

This marker is that of a young bride,
who met a tragic end on
her wedding day ;-)

We should tread quietly
for awhile...

Funny and a little eerie
that so much moss grows in a sunny location...

Happy All Hallows Eve to you!
Stay Safe!!

A bit of trivia...
This old and truly very lovely graveyard is in
Roslyn, Washington.
Roslyn is the town that the TV series
Northern Exposure was filmed..

A strange and non eerie thing about the cemetery is
that deer are always wandering about!!

Who knows what they see after dark!!!

I am joining the fun at...

Happy Hauntings....

Floppy Fall Roses...

I gather roses..

just a small handful...

I think I am afraid
to pluck them all at once,
I have to ration them out...

savoring...

a treasured china hand vase,
clutches my floppy fall roses...

chippy porcelain flowers
add to my delight...

Love planted a rose,
and the world turned sweet.

are you savoring the last blooms?

Today I am joining...

Happy Weekend !
