Five Dollars of Fun...

The garage sales
this year have been slow,
Still you have to try...

My Lily of the Valley
is in bloom
and I have been looking for the perfect little vase...
Done!

this was my big ticket item,

Lily of the Valley

Alba Bleeding Heart

at Easter I had wanted an Egg Cup
to make a little bouquet in...

and even though Easter has already past,
I think Eggs are a symbol of Spring,
so I am going for it...

Egg Cup

besides,
it too is Lily of the Valley
and I was on a roll...

a mini bouquet of...

Sweet Alyssum
and
Coral Bells

I have been meaning to start
 a Silver Napkin Ring collection...

today it got off to a modest start...

and
the sweet little cotton heart

So there it is
my Five Dollars of Fun...

As Right as Rain...

I thought
I would take you for a quick dash
around the garden today...

our blue skies are fading
and rain clouds are quickly blowing in...

the windy morning
has sent the Cherry Blossoms
tumbling and twirling down...

Pink Rain
covers everything...

the White Bleeding Heart
glowing...

pitter patter...

the seasons
first Roses are almost popping...

I eagerly await the blooms
(and so do the aphids)

the Lilacs have peeked,
the scent is divine...

so I quickly gather an armful...

and
snip the first blooms
off my Tree Peony...

and settle in for a few rainy days...

I just love Spring Rain...

As Right as Rain

today I am joining Hakan for
and Cindy for

Thanks for stopping by...

Goodbye April Showers, Hello Blue Skies...

With
what seems like more than our fair share
of April Showers...

I am glad to be welcoming
Blue Skies...

while Blue Skies and sunshine
make the above
 Dogwood Tree glow...

blue skies
really are best
when paired with Pink Cherry Trees...

the bulbs
are peaking now...

and
new blooms
are ready to take over the show...

Hello Lilacs!

the very first Columbine...

"I think that no matter how old or infirm I may become,
I will always plant a large garden in the spring.
Who can resist the feelings of hope and joy
that one gets from participating in nature's rebirth?"
-  Edward Giobbi

with a beautiful weekend forecasted,
there is so much work to be done
in the garden...

and that
is a wonderful thing!

I Hope You Have Wonderful Weekend Plans Too....
