When harsh winter weather hits,
when the power is out...
a hot cup of tea
makes it all more civil...
pretty floral dishes,
let your mind drift to the spring days ahead...
something as simple
as a bright cheery tablecloth
can lift your spirits...
flowers...
just let you sigh...
after several long nasty power outages,
we bought a generator...
and we were glad to have it last week...
baking is a favorite luxury,
a generator allows..
and the pay off is two-fold,
everyone likes to gather around a warm oven,
breathing in the sweet scent
and a hot treat is so welcome!
(I think that was three-fold!)
these orange snaps were a new recipe
and pretty tasty:-)
I hope you are staying warm
and snuggly!
Today, I am sharing tea at these lovely parties...
Thanks for stopping by today!

Glad you were able to stay warm and enjoy a good cup of tea and warm cookies. I enjoy a storm day once in awhile-so snug and cozy indoors.

Cookies hot from the oven are the best! Warms the heart and soul. Love all your pretty china pieces. Warm Hugs,
You china is so pretty! And your silver is so shiney! It makes for a beautiful scene. I can just smell those cookies baking! So smart to have a generator!
Hot tea and sweet cookies would bring warmth to me on a cold and snowy day.
I love the pattern of your silverware Bella.
Stay warm

We just got power back Bella, how I envy your generator! We endured and now I am so thankful to live in a time when we have power!
Beautiful photos and china, Bella. The purchase of a generator is a wise thing and you've already used it. A reason to be thankful. Have a blessed week (with power!). Pamela
Hi Bella... sounds like you are safe and warm and cozy... love all your pretty china, and those cookies look delish!... we have been having cold snowy weather too... your tea and cookies would be nice right about now... xoxo Julie Marie
We have an ice storm going on here as we speak. They are warning everyone to stay off the roads/highways. UGH. I pray that we don't lose power...no generator here!
Your blog is always a breath of fresh air and sunshine for me, Bella. xo Diana
Bella, your rose patterned tea is lovely. Those biscuits look good enough to eat too.

OMG, I know I say it every time I visit here, your photos are soooooo gorgeous! I love your sweet dishes mixed with the beautiful silver... and the cookies look really yummy. Hope you get some warmer weather soon, it's been in the 70's here in Texas. I'm wishing for cooler weather here. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi Bella,
Your post is lovely and tea and cookies is a welcome treat in my home anytime. When the weather outside is frightful, even more so.
Your tea things are lovely and the pattern of your silverware; gorgeous!

Beautiful photos Bella! I love your little teacup! I am already getting tired of winter - we've had a couple weeks of extremely cold temperatures. I could use some spring! - or a cup of tea :) Take care!
Jennelise
Your china is so pretty and summery looking. The orange snaps look really good too.
Lovely post--you are so right how surrounding yourself with pretty things has its way of making everything alright!
A beautiful tea cup and saucer and orange snap biscuits...so lovely.
Thanks for becoming my latest follower and for leaving me a comment.

could this be any more relaxing to visit here? Your photos just calm and soothe and even though you have had power issues your post warms the heart. The china you display is stunning - love it all..........
Hi Bella
Yes I think that was three fold....nice warm and yummy thoughts of tea and cookies from such sweet cups...roses and pretties.
We are having a Marchlike week they say. We had rain today and the rest of the week will be milder also. The snow is just about gone but we've barely had any.
have a wonderful evening
Judi
Over the top gorgeous! Wow, this is such a beautiful and romantic post! I love your delicate and beautiful china and delicious tea!

Terri
Bella your tea table is set so lovely for tea today, no one would guess you've been having power outages with this beautiful post so well done. I think this is my first time to your blog and I'm glad I found my way here. It is quite lovely.
Blessings,
Charlotte
The days of power outages are fresh in my mind. We have at least one per winter in on Prince Edward Island and yes, we should have a generator as well. I hesitate though, because without a generator we got the chance to sit around and play scrabble and other games. I love your tea table and tea cup, orange snaps, I can imagine the attention at the warm oven. Thanks for sharing Hugs, Cindy
Beautiful *sweet* post. Orange snaps!!!! Yum! Beautiful, dainty tea cup. Stay warm and cozy! Happy Tea Day!
Wonderful Ideas for a power outage. My husband keeps saying we need a generator! The photos of your pink rose china is so lovely. The orange snaps and a warm oven makes everything better! Thanks for sharing. Happy Tea Party! Pam
What a beautiful tea! Keep warm! Love your tea cup and Happy Tea Time Tuesday!
Pat
Such a delicate looking cookie/biscuit jar! Cookies look good too!
Hi Bella,
your tea setting is really "Bellissimo". Love the dainty colors and the cookies look like a gorgeous addition to the tea. Thank you so much for sharing this sweet delight.
Best greetings, Johanna
We got a new generator several month ago, also, but fortunately haven't had to use it. Our winter has been a little less severe this year, so far. But it's always good to be prepared! I agree with what you said..."a hot cup of tea makes it all more civil."
Grace to you, Ann
Your dishes are lovely! I just read your last post about all of the ice! Did you lose any trees in your yard? Keep warm!!
A beautiful tea party with beautiful dishes. Now, I want a cup of tea and one of those cookies. smile.
Hugs, Jeanne
it looks like a beautiful tea time setting, and the cookies look delicious!
Oh, generators are a miracle! Would never want to be without one!!!!!!!!!!Not in the North-East. We have been spared this winter...so far.
Have a nice cup of tea.
Blessings, Evi
Dearest Bella,
Wow, when the power is out your wite... That would mean I even couldn't make a cup of tea! Do you have gas for cooking and for heating than? Hope so otherwise it makes life really harsh in mid-winter.
Stay warm and cozy and let those delicate teacups and your pretty settings always sooth the harshness of winter.
Love to you,
Mariette
Beautiful! I love all the pink! Power outages are never fun but you made the most of it! Congrats!
