Procrastination...
I have been meaning to make
Rose Petal Jam for a few weeks now...
When this morning I awoke to
a light frost on the lawns
I knew I was about to lose my chance...
(click photos to enlarge)
So today,
I gathered a few last roses...
and made myself a small batch of jam...
One for the fridge,
to be enjoyed with tea and scones this week....
Mmmmm
and two for the freezer...
to be enjoyed on a snowy day
when roses are just a summer memory...
Now I am off to put the big fluffy comforter
on the bed :-)
Today I am joining...
Funky Junk Interiors For Saturday Nite Special
and
The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays
I will add this recipe
to the recipe tab under my header
in a couple days...
It is my first time using it
and it hasn't set up yet tonight :-)
Thanks for visiting me today!

This sounds very different, and what a beautiful color-enjoy!
Hello Bella,
I have never tasted Rose petal jam, but I do love the taste of rose petals. I sometimes, sprinkle a few on my salad.
When I was in Nice, France a few years ago I tried Rose ice cream and it was DEVINE!!! I also love rose flavoured pastilles which have a tiny anis seed in the middle. I think the comapany that manufactures them is Flavigny. I recommend them and the violet pastilles, too!!
Warm hugs, Laura
Bella, what a great idea ... I'm so looking forward to that recipe! You are amazing... XO HHL
I'm right there with you! It is such a delicate light taste. I have not had any in years and years. Enjoy a bite for me, sweet girl. And, if I haven't told you lately, I LOVE visiting your blog! Hugs, Diana
Bella, this jam is so pretty, the color is gorgeous and I would love to be able to smell and taste it. Please let us know, and enjoy, Char
When I was a child my grandmother told me that roses are edible. She used to put them once in a while in salads or on cakes. The jam not only looks beautiful but tasty. What a wonderful hostess gift to make. Saw you over at tablescaper's, love your blog. tami from the high street cottage

Hello Bella! Happy Pink Saturday! I can't wait to see the recipe! I must try it! Looks wonderful!
Hope you have a terrific Sunday,
Kathy
Dearest Bella,
Rose jelly is one of many things you can make out of them. Over the years I've gathered lots of recipes with roses... Romantic delicacies you can create and if you got enough, they make very special gifts too.
Your jars look so special with the ribbon tied around!
Sunny greetings from Georgia,

What a wonderful endeavor to make your house smell lovely and delight your taste buds. And they look beautiful as well.

Hi Bella! This sounds exactly like what the mice of Brambly Hedge are having right about now! And so beautiful! Thanks for stopping by again. Fact is, I AM already in hybernation! Ha! JQ
Appetizing and so elegant!
I had a few roses hanging on for dear life too. We may get our first frost this morning. I will have to see if I can find a recipe online - it sounds wonderful!
I love your white pumpkins and your rose petals jam is really interesting ...I can´t imagine the taste... Once I probed violet jam so, why not rose jam ?
Hugs

I'm a day late but really enjoyed all your pink flowers and the jam you made. Happy Pink Saturday.
I've never heard of rose petal jam. It sounds very interesting. Do you eat it, or put it on your skin? I bet it's sweet and smells wonderful though! Joining you from Seasonal Sunday!
