Yesterday when I showed you
my shabby roses candle holder makeover,
I was holding out on you...

On my trip to Tuesday Mornings,
I also bought a giant cloche...
I couldn't resist!
So today I dressed it up
and will be enjoying it as a centerpiece
for a bit..
The cloche
was only the glass bell top,
so I paired it with this silver tray I had
and used a crocheted doily to soften it a little...
Tucked in a fat cast iron sparrow,
in a nest of dried roses...
I fell in love with the detailing,
like the heavy curvy knob topper...
and the sides have a beautiful crossed leaf pattern
etched into the glass..
Mr. Sparrow seems pleased with his new home...

I haven't got a cloche as they're quite hard to find where I am (New Zealand)!

I like how you used the crocheted doily in the cloche to soften the base. Your little birdie in his nest of rose buds must be a long lost relative to my little guy! I got mine at the garden center for a buck and he often finds a home inside a cloche, too. :-)
