Since last month I took you on a little trip to
a working Daffodil Farm....
(if you missed it click here to see)
I thought it was only fair
and a bit more colorful..
to visit a local bulb display garden...
The Van Lierop farm
is probably one of the oldest in the valley...
and since besides selling cut blooms,
they also sell bulbs...
They have a pretty little display garden,
which is a fun place to stop by each spring...
The Tulips are just on the cusp of bursting open,
you see that grey Seattle sky,
we are in need of some sun!
We are having a cold spring,
and I know my garden is way behind
compared to last year..
viewing my own posts from last year
is an added blogging bonus,
I can go back and view my own gardens progress...
an unmarked bulb,
they reminded me of Snowdrops...
the Cherry tree in it's full delicate beauty...
a blue ocean
of Grape Hyacinths...
last weekend was the local Daffodil festival & parade
and for once the Daffodils were in full bloom,
usually they are long gone...
I am always enchanted by this statue..
the way the moss is twined through her hair...
do you wanna go inside?
the so cute sign says we are Welcome :-)
I am in lust with this little greenhouse...
when I moved to my house
I had a half an acre of grass...
In the back,
I have saved one last unlandscaped plot
in the back corner
for a little greenhouse / playhouse...
It is on my " hope to do it this year" list :-)
delightful whimsy :-)
Today I am joining
Thanks for visiting me today!

how gorgeous!
The cement statue is beautiful! The moss "in" her hair is so striking.
I made it down to Skagit last weekend but there weren't many tulips yet. We, like you, are not having a very warm spring either... we even had snow on Thursday morning :(
Here's hoping the good ol' Pacific Northwest starts to warm up soon!

What a wonderful tour, thank you! I am charmed by the statue with moss in her hair & the idea of a little greenhouse or potting shed to play in would be heavenly!

This place is beautiful Bella...it's like a breath of fresh air...thanks for taking us along :)
Happy SS!
How beautiful! I love seeing the flowers, as it is still early for anything other than tulips and daffs here in NY!
Here from Seasonal Sunday.
The bulbs are beautiful! Thank you for taking us on the tour. Looks like a wonderful place to visit in the spring. Would definitely have me in the Spring mood!
Hi Bella,
What a pretty garden & shop this is. The name sounds Dutch. The family who own it probably emigrated from Holland years ago ;-)!
Have a lovely new week!
Lieve groet, Madelief x
How beautiful! What a lovely place to visit and to shop. Thanks for the tour. Our spring is slower here this year too and cold and wet. I know it will get better though! Blessings, Pamela
Hi Bella
It doesn't surprise me that the bulb farm has a Dutch name, they grow the best tulips.
If you get a greenhouse, we'll never hear from you on your blog. :-) You'll be too busy growing all kinds of things but I honestly hope you do put one up somewhere.
Hugs,
Judith
It's beautiful!
I love greenhouses, I had one, but the explosive cyclogenesis in February 2010 made it dissapear, I didn't find anything neither the greenhouse nor the plants.
I hope to have another soon.
Love from Spain.
Bella that Statue with the moss in her hair is so enchanting... and the Sea of Grape Hyacinths... I'm still swooning!

What a wonderful post. You brought me back to my years in Connecticut with places just like this. It was a wonderful, sensory trip, thank you! Your blog is so delightful and I just love visiting here.
