If you have read more than two of my posts,
you probably know
I am a garage sale addict...
There are some tough days of withdrawal
in the cold wet winters here....
so I do more antique store shopping in the winter...
(click photos to enlarge)
I found these plates on one of those days,
They are more yellow than I would normally choose...
but when the days are dreary,
a pop of springy yellow
can call to you like a siren...
so I have waited and waited to use them
in a tablescape...
Today, the time was right...
since there is still a chill in the air,
I set my table in front of my faux fireplace...
It keeps my spirit warm :-)
a bouquet of Magnolia, Hyacinths
and that white flower,
who's name still eludes me...
Graces the center of the table....
a depression glass tumbler
serves as a vase,
it has no mate and I often use it for a vase....
who needs dessert when a Camellia blossom
sits so well in the compote...
dainty napkins...
and yes flowers just to scatter about
a bit...
Hurray for Spring!
The linens, depression glass and silver
are garage sale finds...
Spring plates are an antique store purchase...
pink chargers purchased at Ross many years ago...
the depression glass compotes a gift from my Mom...
flowers a gift from Mother Nature :-)
Today I am joining...
and
Thanks for joining me today!

Beautiful!!xo HHL
Bella, it was worth the wait. I like how you pulled the pink from your plates and added more pretty pink.
Faux or not, a fireplace can give the illusion of cozy comfort and your tablescape is beautiful.
Hugs,
Judith

Bella, I always, ALWAYS, find your posts just enchanting...and I really love the bit of yellow for Spring. I took yellow daffodils to my office for the week and they are a bright smile when I walk in the door. Your setting puts that same smile on my face. xxoo Diana
It's all lovely, so soft and so many eye-candy.
Bella, everything you do has such a lovely romantic look. This is a gorgeous setting. Gorgeous details here with the pretty dishes and the fresh flowers. ~ Sarah
The color of that camelia is absolutely stunning. What a pretty spot of color it makes on the table. I am still waiting for spring. I guess I need to move south!
The little touch of yellow in your plates adds warmth to your beautiful table! I used a depression glass salt shaker as a vase on my table today. It often sits on my kitchen windowsill with a few blossoms in it. Gorgeous flowers from your yard! We are still waiting for it to warm up here so the daffodils can bloom. Linda
I love your plates; and that bit of yellow is just perfect--I'm posting some yellow things tomorrow too that I found this week; just like you, I'm not really a "yellow" person, but I liked what I found for vignettes and resale. Your pictures are beautiful! Patty
Lovely photos, your tablescape is beautiful and that plate is so pretty.
Beautiful dishes. They were worth waiting for. My mom introuded me to depression glass when she bought some gold and green pieces years ago, but the pink glass like yours has always been my favorite. Thanks for sharing your lovely tablescape.

Your tablescape is lovely, Bella. And the yellow flowers on the plates add just the right amount of contrast - especially, with your pink chargers beneath them. ;)
