I am a bath girl

I can't remember the last time
I took a shower....
to soak in the tranquil waters,
can make all my cares go away...
a tubside tray of simple luxuries,
can make it decadent....
an old bottle,
filled with Lavender buds
bath oil and essential Lavender oil...
makes a bath fit for a queen....
garden fresh flowers,
a must :-)
fresh Lavender sprigs,
beautiful now and beautiful later after they dry...
tucked away in this hatbox,
is one of my favorite ways
to warm my bones in the winter....
tiny Rose Buds and Lavender Sprigs
dried in Sea Salt....
an old teacup,
makes the perfect scoop...
a cupful will chase away the winter chills...
indulge yourself....

Hi Bella, I'm with you I love to soak in the tub, hardly ever take a shower! Bella I know I've told you this many times before, your pictures are always so beautiful. Did you take classes or did you learn own your own how to take such lovely pictures! I think I need to take some classes, I can't hardly ever get the lighting right when I'm taking my picture.
hugs~~~ Daphne
I enjoyed looking through the pictures in this post... so pretty! I have that same round box in my bathroom, as well.
Oh a bath girl I am as well. I actually rarely tell people that because the shower girls are always telling me how that you are not clean from a bath. Only when I am covered with dirt from the garden do I take a shower! I also have a claw foot bathtub that make the experience wonderful. Adore your bath salts, now what is the recipe???
BATH,! i can't remember my last shower either. And, you're right, in the winter it's the only way to get warm. You put the sea salt in your bath? I'm so gonna try that...
Cindy
Beautiful photos and I am like you and love my soak in our old claw foot tub!

Shower! Baths are not good for women.
Hi Bella,
What a luxurious looking bath setting! Love the box of dried flowers and sea salt with teacup "scoop"!
I do love to take a relaxing bath, but seldom do because our tub is actually not very big or deep. :-(
Most of the time it has to be a shower, because in the morning before work I don't have time for much else!!
Good evening Bella
I used to have a candle lit bubble bath every evening until I developed a back problem and I am now forced to shower. There is nothing sweeter than playing your favourite CD and enjoying a bubble bath while relaxing in the bath. Take care.

Hello Bella:
Your bath time is fit for a queen! I love viewing all your pretty photos and idea...makes me almost want to take a bath! LOL Shower girl all the way but I love a gorgeous bathroom with candles, flowers, etc.

Taking a bath is truly romantic, and I do take them on occasion, but how does one wash and rinse their hair in there? I prefer showers for taking care of all those essential girly things and a bath for indulging myself. Candles, soothing music and a purring cat sitting at the edge of the tub! Otherwise it's a pulsating showerhead, a back brush and handmade soap and a thick towel or two for quick drying! Then off to bed or starting my day ~ depending! ;~P
This is so lovely;what a way to bathe in style! Thank you for sharing! A good bath can be tremendously therapeutic...The bath salts that are rich in minerals are a good thing!
Bella, If I tell you this it must be for the 100th time, your photos are the most beautiful and romantic photos I have ever seen which are not from a professional photographer. I can get lost in your blog just looking. How about candlelight shower? Due to back problem, do not want to take a chance in bath right now, but still light the candles for a beautiful shower, big fluffy, ever so soft towels, and I must have the recipe for the dried flowers and bath salts. When I go back to candlelight baths so want to have that recipe. Love how you store it in the beautiful box. I make jewelry and store my supplies in similar ribbon covered boxes in my studio. Have to put one in the bath now. So pretty on the tray with all the other romantic items. You do romance perfectly!
Blessings,
Lynn
Hi dear!
I'm a both of them!
After the baby has born I'm more a shower girl (that's not a choice but...a matter of time!!).
But now, seeing these pics...oh my!
I am longing for a hot bath!
Thank you for your nice and encouraging words dear.

Hi Bella
You make me wish I could say bath, but I'm a shower girl. Now, that's not to say I don't like a good soak and that's where our hot tub comes in. There are products you can put in it to make it smell really nice while sitting back and drinking in the stars.
Hugs,
Judith
I love all the pretties you have for your bath..
I'm a shower girl:) even if I take a soaking bath I still shower afterwards.

What a lovely blog. Finding it was an additional simple pleasure.
I am definately a bath girl. Although I don't have all the beautiful yummy stuff you have for your bath. But there is NOTHING that can sooth a soul like a long hot bath!!
Thanks for linking up to Simple Pleasures. I'm a bath gal all the way, which is the one thing I miss most whenever The Man and I are in travel mode. Our RV only has a shower. We've been gone a month today, and I'm craving a long soak!
A bath says take the time for you
Me too! I'm a total bath person. Although, I do take showers sometimes, but only because my dear husband is rushing me! I wish I had the space in my bathroom for the lovely things you describe. It would be sooo nice.
Oh My Gosh I want to re do my main bathroom now with lots of lovely accessories, I love the hat box with the sea salt and roses, what a wonderful idea :)
I have been in this house a year and not had a bath...only showers. I am heading off to the shops tomorrow to look for candles and pretty things for my bathroom and christen my bath this week.
