Do you love a lazy Sunday Drive?
feet up on the dash,
not a care in the world...
last Wednesday we went for a long drive
(it doesn't really have to be Sunday :-) )
East on HWY 12
I thought you might like to come along...
these cute little lake houses
sit along Ohop Lake...
they make me wanna pack up
and spend a long summer sitting on the dock...
we stopped for lunch
on a meadows edge...
the wild grasses already knee high...
common Vetch flowers
twinning up the blades...
wild Lupines were popping up on hillsides...
Blackberries in production...
Christmas Tree farms
dot the rolling hills...
when we got into the small town of Mossyrock,
the real surprise of the trip...
fields of Iris...
PURPLE!
it was a beautiful day,
a day to replenish...
Today I am joining...
Thanks for coming along...

A drive through the country with a picnic lunch can be as romantic a date as something more sophisticated, can't it?
Beautiful scenery and oh, those rows of purple irises. They must be grown for florist shops and markets.

Hi Bella~
I love your Sunday drive post, hubby and I like to do those as well. Looks like you live in a beautiful area with picturesque views! I also love all your spring roses, so gorgeous. I spend as much time as mother nature will allow me as well! My Eden climbing opened up a couple days ago around the arbor in the front yard. I can't believe how beautiful they are, just loving all the precious moments I have with them. Does that sound kooky? LOL...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
~ Stephanie

Lazy drives are so refreshing, aren't they? And those lake cabins are so adorable! Like something from a fairy tale. I hope you had a lot of lovely days like that this summer.
