Today I packed up winter,
bid it farewell...
my mantle stands bare,
ready to be filled with spring things...
A Fresh Spring Begining...
a new sign is my beginning...
"life began in a garden"
and if you have known me for more than a minute,
you know
most of my inspiration is
from the garden...
another beginning...
the brass birdcage
that sits in the corner of my parlor,
became an impromptu drying rack last fall...
today,
I tucked a little gathered nest inside...
cradled a clutch of eggs,
in a downy bed...
a canopy of roses...
I am eager
to see what grows...
sweet spring dreams
to you my friends..
tonight I am joining,
and
Thanks for stopping by...

The roses are so sweet on your birdcage! What a wonderful idea! It's the perfect spot for a nest. Is there something new about your mantel window? I don't remember it being so fancy! Sweet! Looking forward to more to come. xx

I'm looking forward to seeing your beautiful roses and other flowers this spring and summer.
Love your bird cage and roses. I am like you so ready for spring. Roses have lots of buds and iris are starting to bloom. Can hardly wait to see your gardens.
Have a great weekend.

So enchanting, Bella! I know your mantle is "waiting" for Spring pretties, but the simple beauty of it is lovely too! Too cold here in NJ to be inspired yet to decorate for Spring! I will just blog hop and drool! LOL
