I brought in my basket of Lilacs
I shared in yesterdays post...
and went for an ultra simple,
yet decadent arrangement...
I keep the front parlor
closed at night,
and each morning when I open the doors
the scent is overwhelming...
amazing...
intoxicating...
I have been picking up these jars
for years at garage sales....
some of the jars have a diamond pattern,
some a lattice pattern....
I think it gives them
a fanciful twist...
this big ones usual job is holding
fresh pickles in the summer...
I have heard they were old coffee jars....
my Love Affair with Lilacs continues...

Lilacs are a favorite of mine and you have displayed them so beautifully. I love the lilac paired with white. So, so pretty. We are still waiting for ours to bloom here in Ontario, Canada. Soon...
I love lilacs and I can smell them here in my office. Your mantle is stunning and the vases look so well with the Lilac's in them.

What a beautiful way to start your day! :) Lilacs hold a special place in my heart because of the huge old bush we had in my childhood back yard right next to where I helped my mom hang the laundry. Sweet memories.... :)

Lilacs are my first love, too. My mama always...ALWAYS...had lilac bushes in her front and back yards.
I grew up loving them.
