I Love May!
As far as months go,
it tops my list...
warm days & cool nights...
the world smells fresh and green...
the garden is a lot of work in the Spring,
but the rewards are great...
a trip around the garden
reveals new delights each day...
Blue Skies
&
Pink Columbine...
a perfect combination...
the birds favorite place for a splash...
I added a dozen or so new
Peony bushes to the garden
this Spring...
this is the first to bloom...
the purple Iris...
the Gertrude Jekyll Roses...
intoxicatingly fragrant...
David Austin's
The Wedgewood Rose...
perfect and so delicate...
the first bloom of Mortimer Sackler,
with many more blooms to come...
it too is a David Austin Rose...
a short nearly thornless climbing rose...
Wisley Rose,
a perfect rosette formation...
a seat in the shade...
Thanks for strolling....

Oh I envy your beautiful roses! ours are doing well, but roses just make you want more, more, more! HAha! It must be lovely to sit in your garden and watch the birdies! So nice that you have plenty of sunshine. Enjoy the weekend!
Your roses are gentle beauty as they begin to bloom. The drought we are in has been hard on our roses. We have had to re-plant because most of them died last year in the heat waves. We will be planting more this weekend.
Beautiful, Bella!
More than nice, it is really like to see it!
Thanks!
With love, Gerry
