Spring...
it is my favorite season...
the freshness,
the anticipation,
the gentle days,
the fragrance of it all...
. . .
as it slips away
and we welcome Summer...
I thought I would share a few favorite things...
my very favorite Spring find
was this too sweet vintage millinery hat...
I don't know if its the simple innocence
of the fabric flowers....
or just the idea of wearing
such a whimsical hat...
they just
make me smile...
I like to start each season
with empty cloches...
a place to tuck and gather
small treasures...
Spring Treasures...
a blue Robins Egg,
and a lovely Swallowtail Butterfly...
the first flush of roses
is over...
but there are still plenty
of blooms to be found...
like this sweet smelling
Cottage Rose,
still wet with morning dew...
Hankies,
another whimsical delight...
these will be hanging around well into Summer...
well those were a few of my favorite Spring things,
tied neatly with a bow...
At the End of Spring
Put down thy bonny head,

What pretty treasures! The cloches are a great way to capture a few spring moments in time. Love the poem too. It captures spring the same way. Glad you always have a few lovely roses about. Have a wonderful summer!

Bella - Summer certainly seems to have gotten here in a hurry, didn't it? I don't know what happen to Spring. It just got so hot here so suddenly. Beautiful photos,

The robin nest in the glass looks so wonderful, a real treasure. I also love the beautiful cottage rose so beautiful decorated together with the rose jug. Beautiful photos of a lovely end of spring, now we are going up to summer.

We just had two butterflies in our garden that looked so similar to yours here. We have not seen butterflies for a few years due to the severe drought here but they are finally returning this year. I think all the flowers we planted are attracting them too. Your garden and home are always so beautiful.
