What is better than June?
"It was June,
and the world smelled of roses.
The sunshine was like powdered gold
over the grassy hillside.”
― Maud Hart Lovelace
the roses
have had their grand first flush....
the first blooms beginning to wither,
but fresh blooms are following closely behind...
Memorial Day
I favorite of mine with it's ruffled petals...
a stand of Baptisia
(blue wild indigo)...
I learned about this beautiful plant
seeing it on other garden blogs...
I love it!
our first serious heat wave is on the way,
we feel lazy just thinking about it....
Happy Summer!

Such beautiful roses ...
All the best Jan
So many lovely roses, Bella. The baptisia is the perfect contrast. Happy Summer Solstice! xx Karen
So absolutely wonderful with all the beautiful roses. It must be a dream walking in your garden.
The sun and the summer is really disappointing here in Denmark. I hope it's gonna change soon.
I wish you a lovely weekend dear

Your beautiful garden reminds me of the Aiken House & Gardens blog and her garden, both so incredibly lovely, like a preview of Heaven itself. Enjoy your paradise!
The colors and forms are delightful. The first photo looks like Eden Rose. Do you mind sharing with me the name of the rose that is in the third photo from the top. It is so light and airy and lacy looking. Like a baby rose almost not into it's grown up shape!
Delighting in your garden,
Karen in NC
