French Flower Buckets...

Today is the perfect lazy summer day ,
filled with a gentle summer rain.

The rain pushes all the fragrance of the garden down,
my windows are thrown open,
the sweet scents are blowing in the breeze
and I feel like nesting :-)

The lilies were not so happy,
they are sky high,
and the rain has pushed them over.
So I had to save them from the mud :-)

It gave me the perfect excuse to use my
french flower buckets...
They have been hanging around the garden shed forever
waiting for a frivolous abundance of flowers to fill them....

and that...
gave me the perfect excuse to play with my silver suitcase.
I picked this up at the local feed store,
they always have a unique variety of goodies
on their big wooden loading dock.

I knew it's distressed silver finish
would be a fun pairing
with some frilly whites...

I told you yesterday I bought a box of vintage gloves,
you'll be seeing them everywhere :-)

These are the softest leather...

You need not gild the Lily
it's elegant beauty stands alone...

Roses Roses Everywhere...

Yes it's Pink Saturday again..
time is moving so fast!

There is nothing I like more than Pink Roses
and garage sales...

(click photos to enlarge)

So.. I thought I would share a few of my latest finds :-)

A sweet and simple saucier,
with a lovely cabbage rose pattern...

A pretty vintage waste can,
because even your trash should look good :-)

I bought a whole box of vintage ladies gloves,
This petal pink pair is so sweet...

Ladies gloves are one of my favorite things to collect,
pretty gloves were always worn
at special moments and in happy times....

This so pretty rose print,
by Lola Ades.....

and a bigger print also by Lola Roes,

I will be painting the frame soon,
like I said time is flying!

See the cute plaster cherub candlestick,
holding up the frame?

He is one of a pair,
but we will have to save his showing
 for a non pink day:-)

I hope you are having a Rosy Day :-)

Visit Pink Saturday for more pinkness!

I have made a correction on Lola Ades name
I should wear the readers (yuck!)

Thanks for visiting me today!

Temptation...

I spotted this trio of vintage bottles
at a thrift store
a couple days ago...

The price was a little too high,
so I left them behind....

(click photos to enlarge)

But... you know how nagging temptation is,
I had to give in.
(I never even made it all the way home).

Besides... it is a very nice thrift store
and the money goes to the local hospital,
so everyone is happy:-)

They are just seven inches tall
and hold five ounces of liquid...

,

The etching on these two match...

but with different rims...

and stoppers,
this stopper is my favorite of the group...

but.. this is my favorite bottle,
I love the simple silver ring around it's neck,
and the more elaborate etching...

I think these will end up in the bathroom,
on a tray
with scented bath oils :-)
