My Other Stick Trees...

I have shown you my Parlor tree
and my Silver Tabletop tree...

(click photos to enlarge)

As promised
I am sharing with you
my last two decorated trees...

This tree sits on top of the Armoir
 in the family room...

The ornaments on it
 began on the parlor tree
at first I used birds, flowers, nuts and pine cones..

Then I changed to just birds and flowers...

So I stared a nut tree :-)
and moved the richer toned balls to it..

This vintage red cotton bird
is right at home among the jewel tones...

Of course
where there are nuts...
there must be a squirrel :-))

So by now...
you must be thinking Mike is incredibly patient
to do so much ornament shopping!

But truthfully
My man loves fish!

So.. I got him started on a fish tree
many years ago....

Fish in trees is kinda weird...

But,  they look so whimsical
swimming and jumping in the pine branches...

I love this little seahorse...

and some fish have pretty glittered spots :-)

Yes he loves fish... all fish..

The sea shells under his tree
he has collected scuba diving in the Puget Sound...

Tonight I am joining these parties!

My Icy Archway...

Can you believe...
There are only nine days until Christmas!

Where is the time going?

(click photos to enlarge)

Do you remember when I showed you my archway
decorated in fall branches?
(if not, you can peek at it here)

I told you I revamp the branches for winter
and thought I'd share that with you today...

Oh yeah...  several of you asked
Don't the leaves fall from the branches, when they are brought inside?
only two fell...

The branches were spray painted metallic silver
a little glitter sprinkled on them
(most of it blew away,  the weather has not been nice here!)

As you must know by now
I love the look of icicles...

These are giant,  almost a foot long!

I think they look the most beautiful when the room is dark
and the icicles glow with just a bit of light from a candle
or the Christmas tree..
so soft and magical.

I just couldn't catch it with my camera...

Today I will be a late joiner of
Transformation Thursday at The Shabby Chic Cottage

Silver Tinsel Tree...

On Tuesday
I shared tea with you under my tinsel tree...

(click photos to enlarge)

and...
Promised to share it with you
when I finished decorating...

If you missed my first post about
my little tinsel tree
you can view it HERE...

I love the old fashioned look of stick style trees....

They are great for showcasing ornaments...

My ornaments are a mix of old and new,
mostly found at garage sales...

All the ornaments started out
 on the big foyer tree...
(you can see that here if you missed it)

As my collection outgrew the tree,
I grouped them up into themes
and added smaller trees around the house..

I have two more trees,  I'll show you soon!

I love the look of old glass ornaments
with their scuffs and scars....

I can't get enough glitter at Christmas!

I am joining these lovely parties..
