Roses and Rosemary...

Winter is in the air,
Christmas songs are playing everywhere...

I usually wait until
after Thanksgiving to
start decorating for Christmas...

but,
I have already started,
just a bit...

I thought
I would share my fall sideboard
with you...

 these photos are from
last week
before the frost hit...

actually,
I don't think I have shown my sideboard,
since I painted it
and added a plate rail...

I have been very lazy this fall!

bringing out
the silver is one of my favorite fall things,
I love it's warm glow...
\

and,
candlelight....

I always bring my big old Rosemary pot
up close to  the house for the winter...

and right before the first hard frost
bring lots of sprigs inside...

the smell
transitions me right into a winter mood...

those Eden Roses
from the top of the arbor,
made it inside too...

Pinecones gathered in October,
are getting ready for a Christmas makeover...

I had planned to bleach them,
but am afraid of the bleachy smell...

so,
 I think
I will white wash them instead...

and polish the
warm glow off the silver...

I am in the mood
for a bright and shiny
White Christmas...

I am linking up to..

Thanks for stopping by...

Goodnight Garden...

It happened,
the first hard frost
of the season set in...

the shady parts of the garden
sparkling in an icy frosting...

grab some hot cocoa and mittens
and come along...

dipped in sugar...

it's always sad to see the Roses go
for the year...

but,
 what a grand curtain call...

I love all the natural bokeh
in the photos...

all the little icy sparkles
created magic...

the Hydrangea...

fresh water
replaced ice in the bird's water bowl...

it looked like a hot tub
and was very popular....

Goodnight Garden...

I am joining...

Thanks for joining me today,
stay warm...

The Garden is Quiet...

We have only had a few light frosts...

the garden is quiet,
but holding her own...

still full of little
 treasures to be discovered...

the trees are nearly bare...

warm and golden tones..

flowers tattered...

 pumpkins on the porch...

the days so short,
the shadows so long....

Roses dance
in deformed beauty...

ruffles and frills...

Climbing Eden
smiles down from the arbors top...

Anemone seeds
blowing in the wind...

the Koi frolic
with the floating autumn leaves...

a big pile of leaves,
makes everyone feel like a kid,
or a puppy...

even an old dog
gets an extra wiggle in his step...

the garden is quiet
and I feel that way too...

enjoying what nature provides...

 looking forward to snow :-)

I'll be linking up to...
