I have to admit...
I have been so lazy since Christmas.
It does this to me every year,
From the first of semi-warm days of spring
till the last chilly days of fall
the garden keeps me busy!
Then the holidays are there
and you know how busy that is!
After Christmas...
I am always eager to put all the holiday pretties away,
keep the tabletop displays to a minimum
and hybernate a bit...
(click photos to enlarge)
So it was a huge surprise today
to see Primroses in the garden center...
Maybe I over slept a bit
like Rip Van Winkle...
No, it really is only the first week of January!
Our snowy season has yet to truly begin,
But, who could resist their bright faces?
I bought just one,
A cheery pot of Primsoses
may be just what I need to get my blood moving again :-)
Today I will be joining the fun at...
and
Thanks for stopping by today!

Funny Bella - i went to Molbacks today for lunch and they had these too....it was fun to see some color this time of year. Although my ground is still so cold to actually plant anything. I'm excited to see your garden as it unfolds this spring.
PS - i would love to trade you poppy seeds (need to be thrown out soon) i have hot pink singles with black in the center.....let me know?xxoo
Very pretty in pink.
HPS to you.
Nancy
I think primroses are just the sweetest little flower...and how unexpected this time of year. Perfectly lovely! xxoo Diana
Very pretty pinks, Bella! Christmas always wipes me out! I do LOVE it so very much but every year I'm finding it harder to clean it up after the holidays are over. Perhaps I should go looking for pink primroses too! Happy Pink Saturday and have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi
What a pretty spot of color and I love how you planted them in a teacup!
Happy Pink Saturday!

They'll have primrose at my market tomorrow too! Love the bright burst of color this time of year-enjoy:@)
I know what you mean. I feel lazy too. I was thinking what should I do until the gardening time begins, and I thought that perhaps I should devote my lazy free time to reading. I'm going to go to the library this weekend.
Beautiful pot of Primroses. So cheerful.
Hi Bella, oooh so pretty! I always get excited when I find those too, I haven't seen any here in my little town yet... yours look so pretty in your vintage sugarbowl... like you, I am totally thinking SPRING and gardens!... xoxo Julie Marie
Missed ya Bella... But certainly understandable. We all go away for a bit, my time will come during the month of May when my garden center gets really busy... then poof.. I'll be gone, but not for good!
Primroses.. ah yes.. pretty pink splashes of fresh color in January. Seems they're out a bit earlier this year as I've seen them myself out here in NJ. It's a shame that they don't flower longer in the house nor stay as vibrant forever.. But, it cures the itch for those that have felt cooped up for a bit!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Bella
Your pink primrose is a nice hint of spring to come. I've seen the little pots of spring flowering bulbs in our grocery store but they don't last long.
Enjoy your little bowl of happiness.

Good to see you and your perky flowers! I feel like a hybernating (sp?) winter animal myself!
All the blooms being seen the garden centers are great if you have a greenhouse or can bring them inside. I think a little color and mood brightener is a wonderful idea. Happy Pink Saturday, Char
What a breath of fresh air - all my flowers, plants, deck, driveway are all under snow and will be for the next several - yes several months. But how I love seeing these little beauties breathing new life for us all. Thanks so much for sharing and Happy Pink Saturday to you!
