I am looking forward to fall,
the cool nights...
fluffy comforters on the bed...
and candlelight...
and sometimes though it is hard to admit
a break from garden chores is also nice....
these last days of summer are the easy days,
the days you can enjoy a foot in each season,
and the best that each has to offer...
(click photos to enlarge)
for today's garden stroll,
I thought we would look at just roses...
PINK ROSES....
the Eden Roses are coming in back into bloom,
for a curtain call...
the tight buds turn quickly
into big floppy blooms....
sometimes the colors are mottled along the way...
layers of ruffles...
My English Lady Gertrude Jekyll...
If Venus rose not from the sea...
maybe should would rise from a rose :-)
the Catmint coming into bloom
was too pretty to ignore...
my new quartet of shrubby Bonica Roses,
has stolen my heart...
soft, floppy and so sweet....
(sweet looking but not fragrant, their only downfall)
I brought in a bundle...
for my favorite shabby tin vase...
Today I am joining...
and
Thanks for strolling today...

Lovely! We went to Point Defiance park yesterday and I can't believe it, I forgot my camera! If my roses are not doing that great, I could have at least taken pictures of theirs! They were lovely I might add.

I don't want them ever to leave
Catmint and pink roses.... a perfect combination. Works with pink peonies in spring as well. ;)
