I have given into temptation...
and started to do my Christmas decorating...
mostly
I am just putting the trees up...
not really decorating them yet...
because,
I really do like the trees just bare...
and uncomplicated...
soon
I will adorn them...
these pink balls,
are part of a craft project,
I'll be making over the weekend...
I'll be making over the weekend...
but, for now
I couldn't help scattering them around...
I couldn't help scattering them around...
it's nice to stop for tea,
and admire the twinkling lights...
I've had this rosy mug,
quite a while,
and just lucked out and found a matching plate...
they are happily reunited...
a rosy mug
calls for a rosy tea pot...
I made pomegranate scones the other day
for the first time...
they are delicious day old...
but, when they are fresh
the little pomegranate seeds are so hot and juicy
and they just pop in your mouth...
Mmmm
Mmmm
Here is a link to the very easy recipe...

I am smitten...

I am smitten, too! I have two trees up -- not decorated yet, but that's okay -- the twinkling of the lights is enough for now. Love your teacup and how wonderful to find the matching saucer. Thank you for the recipe for the pomegranate scones. Happy Tea Day!

Oh my gosh, everything at your house is just soooo darn pretty. I want a white flocked tree too... i looked online but they are so expensive. I wish i could do my own flocking... (does that sound bad?)
Anyway, enchanted by your home as always, it's just a visual treat...

so charming, bella! love the pink and white, and all the ruffles:) pretty white tree and china, too! have a great week!
Your home is looking so beautiful, Bella, as it dresses up for Christmas. I admit that I like to leave things looking a little bare at first, too. Sometimes I leave our fresh-cut tree up for a a few days, ungarnished, just to enjoy its shape and scent. Wishing you lots of fun putting the finishing touches on your lovely home!
Hello Bella, love your beautiful pink teacup and the lovely way you strew the pink balls…beautiful post. I will be featuring your post in this week's A Return to Loveiness,

I could stay in that lavender room all day long it is so lovely! I have a new tea I adore and I bet you might as well, it is a rose tea I bought from The Tea Madame in Sumner, the smell is intoxicating and there is nothing like roses in December. Everything is lovely Bella, I look forward to seeing it all decorated for the holiday.
So lovely, Bella - you have captured the magic in such a delightful way. Thank you for the recipe - it looks so delicious with your pretty rose tea set. Hugs xo Karen
