The birds are singing & flirting..
and it will soon be time,
to feather their nests.
So I thought I would share a couple,
bird abodes I have for rent...

I need to get this little house hung up,
I love the old tin ceiling tile..
used as roofing.
This may not be a birds favorite house,
but I hung it from a branch on the rainer cherry tree,
and love to watch it sway in the breeze.
I have two of these houses..
one on each entrance to the gazebo.
The nest boxes are for violet green swallows,
the short wide hole keeps predator birds from getting in.
The violet green swallows..
are one of my favorite birds of summer.
I love their acrobatic flying!
and the babies remind me of penguins :-)
Not a bird abode...
but I couldn't resist sharing these pots of pansies
(I need to get planted....busy, busy, busy)

Pansies are a fave flower of mine; they always look like they have cheerful "faces" to me!

I'm also a fan of the swallows they are great to watch as they fly through the air. They somtimes make their mud nest on the eves of the house. Sorry about the good flea markets closing up their. Julian
The bird cage hanging from the rainer cherry tree may not be the birds favorite but it mine, looks great.

As for your blog...it's beautiful! Those precious houses! I have a bird that comes by to visit me everyday. When I call "pretty bird"...she comes. I saw her flirting a few weeks ago, and now she's making a nest. I love watching the process.

All the birdhouses you featured today are very pretty. Poor little birds will have a hard time trying to decided which one to rent for the summer. You have a nice blog.
