Since I am home alone today,
and the strawberries looked so good.
I decided to indulge myself
with a yummy tea for just for me :-)
(click photos to enlarge)
I decided to sit in the front parlor
at my little center table.
So I could look out and enjoy the front garden..
Can you see my Delphiniums?
The first blooms of this year.
I picked a little bouquet..
My Gertrude Jekyll Roses are blooming..
and smell wonderful.
The Strawberries in my garden are not ready yet,
But the ones at the grocery store were giant,
and so sweet!
I had some sliced on a shortcake
and topped it with vanilla soy yogurt.
The teacup was my Grandmothers,
there is no maker name.
I decided instead of sugar with my tea
I would use Stevia leaves from the garden
to sweet it... Yummy.
I brought along a garden magazine to browse,
and inspire my daydreams.
I enjoyed my little treat,
I hope everyone found time to treat
themselves today too :-)

The fragrance of roses, delicious strawberries, and tea in a beautiful cup. That's a perfect way to relax and daydream a bit. I should try to find time and do it too.
Have a wonderful week, Bella.

Isnt it fun to treat yourself. Sometimes I do that too and have a little tea party for myself. Don't laugh, but one Saturday morning I made scones and had made tea, set the table beautifully, set down to have the party and noticed I still had on my PJ's LOL.
Beautiful post.

Hi again!!,
I see that you asked about the wall covering in my dining room; it's actually anaglypta... very close to lincrusta.
It was there when we bought the house although we aren't sure when it was put in. It's definitely not original.
wonderful! Wishing you happiness, Katherine
