I started off thinking that today
I would share with you a couple of pretty things
I picked up from a new vendor
at a local antique mall.
Then I noticed they both featured purple
and thought purple needed it's day!

A lovely straw hat,
with a bundle of millinery flowers
I am crazy for millinery flowers...
and this bundle of violets
made my heart sing!
I also found this vintage face powder box...
the graphics are gorgeous!
and it even ties closed with a perfect little bow:-)
Then a purple vignette
garden style...
Which must feature a jar of Lavender Buds
some casually strewn about :-)
Of course there are purple roses..
Enchanted Evening.
The vase is a vintage creamer
the glass has turned purple with age..
Don't you love purple sun glass?
and the "flaws" in old glass
see the bubbles in the foot of the creamer?

What a nice purple vignette! We planted purple roses this year. Can't wait for it to bloom next year!
I love purple. I have a very hard time narrowing down what my favourite colour is, but purple is definitely right up there at the top. That vintage face power box is just incredible! What a lovely find. :)
Hi Bella! It's lonely out here--where is everybody tonight? You have an outstanding post! I didn't notice that the glass was purple until you mentioned it--I was too busy gaping at the purple roses! Amazing! You know, I love the look of flowers in vintage glass. So simple and pretty. I also love the box--the graphics are great--and it all looks so sweet together. My antiques shop assoc. has a Lavender Fair event this weekend in conjunction with a local farm, and the lavender isn't in full bloom yet! Crazy year! Do you grow lavender?--I don't remember if I've seen it in your garden--probably too early. Great post--Jacqueline

Beautiful post! It made me remember how much I love purple, lilac and lavender, but for some reason, they usually take a backseat to other colors in my life. The roses are breath-taking!
Lovely purple vignette. The straw hat is very cute. And I like that jar with lavender buds. I have lavender in my garden. I should collect and dry some this summer.

An alluring tribute to my favourite colour. Interesting to see that many women think the same and how just a jar filled with lavender is so feminine.
