Today it happened...
blue skies...and...
Seattle reached seventy five degrees!
It might not sound like much, but we have set a new record.
It has been nine full months!
272 long days!
Since the last time we enjoyed 75 or more degrees,
And I certainly enjoyed today:-)))
So... on with the mirror makeover...
(click photos to enlarge)
A fun pretty photo to start....
Here is the before....
I picked this up at yes...
a garage sale.
A plastic mirror with beige and gold tone roses,
That Mike was not happy to see me carrying around :-)
A fresh paint job...
and a few roses tossed about,
and I am so happy!
Shabby painted roses...
Fresh roses too (just for fun)
High Hopes. and Gertrude Jekyll.
Now.. how will I can get the roses to stay in place
when I hang it up?
Today I am joining Gina at The Shabby Chic Cottage
Thanks for visiting me today!

Warmest Hugs, Brenda
He should know better by NOW! Isn't it amazing what a paint job can do? Great transformation! I'm glad to hear the weather transformed a little too! Jacqueline
Oooh, its so pretty! Nice paint job!
Oh wow! Your mirror is just stunning, and I would never have guess that it is plastic! I thought for sure it was carved wood! Love your transformation. Hard to believe that someone would want to part with it!
Bella you had done a wonderful transformation! Very chic! Have a good weekend!

That turned out beautiful! I love it!!
It is beautiful! I would just adhere the roses with hot glue. I saw on another blog that a lady uses a thimble on her finger so she won't burn herself! I loved that idea! It has saved me from being burned all the time!

Thanks for checking out my blog. Your blog is gorgeous; love all your things!!! Yes, I am close. I am in Brush Prairie, Washington. Do you have your own shop? Love your gardens. We have also have a picket fence and lots of the same flowers. Love the David Austin roses. We have 2 large rose gardens in front of our picket fence. It's GORGEOUS. What a find!!!
OH WOW, what a gorgeous mirror frame. I would have picked it up and had tears streaming down my face at the garage sale, being so happy to find such a beauty. You did a great job on painting it and putting the pops of color on it. Wonderful... Sheila
Bella, such a pretty mirror.. I would drag the mirror everywhere I go rather than regret doing it later.. teehee..
the mirror looks pretty after a coat of paint!.
Hello Bella;
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving the lovely comment about the camisole. Wow Seattle sounds like my kind of place, I hate heat (I know how sick is that) I dislike perspiring or having the sun burning down on my skin..ugh~
Oh and the mirror is gorgeous, you did a fabulous job and created a treasure, I'm feeling inspired!

Hi Bella,
Great transformation with the mirror! I would have never guessed it was plastic either...it looks like wood! I love it with the new paint job...a definite improvement. The roses look lovely on it too; I suppose you could use silk roses and hot glue them on if you wanted to keep that same look.... I'm inspired now to try and do something with my rummage sale vases that are still sitting in my spare bedroom!
What a beautiful makeover and what a gem of a find! I never would have guessed it was plastic. I thought for sure it was metal, plaster - something heavy. It looks amazing now!
Jeanine
what a find!!!! gorgeous!!!!
Incredible. Who would have thought? I'll sure think twice next time I see something plastic and dismiss it as ugly. You made it so lovely!
I love it especially in the staging you used for the photo with the real roses...
Hello, dear Bella,
Love your mirror transformation, so very pretty and romantic. The real roses are charming with it, too. Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend, my friend. Love and blessings always~ Vicki
