I don't believe there is a prettier rose
than the Eden,
with her delicate layers of softly shaded petals.
She is delighted about the hot weather
and has begun blooming abundantly...
I couldn't be happier :-)
So the table begins with her..
Then, since I have bought so many garage sale rose dishes lately
I thought I would mix and match more roses
into tonight's table...
My favorite new dish is this Homer Laughlin casserole..
since it was too hot for baking,
and since I could not resist using it,
I will serve a cold pasta salad from it...
I am also using my Homer Laughlin,
they were almost a match (to the casserole dish)
bone dishes,
Since we are vegetarian
bone dishes are an odd choice for our table.
But the uniqueness of them adds a fun look to the table
and I have several ideas for alternate uses,
tonight they will serve as a bread plates...
The sun low on the horizon
looked pretty
glowing in through the window...
I used my simple go with everything plates
from Marshall's
they have a pretty pearly pink border
that was hard to capture...
The vintage napkins
are a loose weave,
with a pretty pulled work design...
My Motto..
never enough roses :-)

Bella, your roses and table are beautiful! I can almost smell those roses, what a lovely shade! The casserole dish is gorgeous as are all the pieces and the laces too, including the curtains on the window. Love your chairs as well. A lovely post! Thanks for sharing and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
Blessings,
Sandi
Pretty tablescape and your roses are incredibly beautiful!
Oh, so very beautiful! I love your roses, and your table setting is divine!
Dearest Bella,
What a lovely and romantic table setting! Love that pure linen napkin with such a beautiful rose embroidered on, besides the pulled thread detail.

Bella- You set a beautiful table. I love all your rose dishes and I especially love the Eden roses-they remind me of blousy overdressed ladies ;>) Lovely and sweet post- Diana
Full and beautiful roses! They really make your table. All your pretty rose dishes look beautiful together. Are you still staying in away from the heat? We had an unusual overcast day with no rain. The local roses are also blooming like crazy. Thanks for a peek at your bouquet! Jacqueline
That looks so delicate and lady like! I love the dishes, just a beautiful table, Bella!
What a beautiful centerpiece the rose bouquet made. And all the rose dishes are stunning. Great idea to use the bone dishes as bread plates; they are really pretty, it's great that you found how to use them.
Your roses are stunning, and so are the dishes that you are showcasing. I just love pink!
What a pretty table!
Hi Bella,
So gorgeous, as usual!!! I just love those Eden roses so much! I'd love to plant some in my yard.

Oh Your table setting is beautiful, as well as your china.
Eden is one of my favorite roses (grew it in Southern California). I think yours are absolutely gorgeous. What a blessing to come from all this heat!
Hugs,

Bella, your table is simply enchanting! The roses are stunning.
I think you may be correct about the Eden Rose .. truly breathe taking. My Father was a lover of things roses .. his rose gardens were tended to with such care and pride ... I miss watching him in in his garden. Your blog, posts and words continue to inspire me, to start a rose garden of my own in Memory of my Father and his passion. Thank you..HHL
Hello Bella,
Your Eden roses are as gorgeous as they usually are.
This rose is known in France under the name of Pierre de Ronsard. It was bred by the french rosarian Meilland in 1985.
Thanks to share these beautiful pictures.
With your love of roses Bella you can combine any number of them in different colours to look spectacular.
Your table looks inviting.
Judith

Beautiful roses everywhere... I love your bone dishes.
Your table looks absolutely lovely. I am vegetarian also and have used my bone dishes for cookies when I serve sorbet or ice cream. Actually, I've used them often in all sorts of ways and I know you will too.
All of your dishes are beautiful and I think mixing and matching makes it all the more interesting. I agree with you, beautiful roses everywhere! You have created a beautiful table.
So pretty, such a sweet idea for the unusual plate shapes. Your post has been featured in Friday Favourites at Creative Link Up http://creativelinkup.blogspot.com/2010/08/friday-favourites.html
