Ironically,
as this seasons changes to deeper
more subdued tones....
(click photo to enlarge)
I have the free time
to lighten and brighten my world...
While the garden slows down
and before the holidays come rushing in,
there is a small moment of change..
Yes, more white paint :-)
This very bronze frame
hangs over my sideboard in the dining room
and has been begging for a change!
A fresh coat of paint..
(that is if chippy and distressed can be called fresh :-)
Just the look I wanted...
It makes a happy backdrop
for my new Mary Roses...
Like I have been saying,
I am crazy for white and silver...
I love how a mirrors reflection
gives the room a soft dream like quality...
Even better are the ghostly reflections of antique mirrors,
I am thinking about pulling the mirror back down
and distressing the silver reflection itself...
Today I am joining...

Hi Bella
The mirror turned out very nice.
I've always liked gold and then one day it dawned on me that silver looks better with lavender so I've been buying some silver accessories and like them.
Like Jane, I love the candlestick and with the antique white of the frame - very Victorian looking.
Judith

It's amazing how romantic those roses look.
