One of the things I looked for over the summer
at garage sales...
was silver flatware...
Not the heirloom quality kind with it's dazzling shine,
but the mix and match kind
with the soft glow...
I kept my budget to a dollar or less per piece
and it made for a fun hunt:-)
The variety of handles
insures there is a piece for any mood...
soft glow....
This set of four spoons
was a favorite find...
sure to spark a collection of it's own...
Since the monogrammed R's are perfect for my family table...
A variety of spoon handles...
A variety of spoon bowls
(is there a better term for that?)
Doesn't the first one beg to be used to eat a melon?
This one stands alone..
for it is my favorite...
A complete thrill for one dollar!
For this "B" is just for me,
it is sure to be my favorite spoon at tea time!
I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend
and I hope everyone,
somewhere in the bottom of the pile
finds the spoon with their perfect letter :-)
Today I am joining
Laurie for A Few of my Favorite Things..
Beth for Silver Sunday
Thanks for visiting me today!

What pretty, vintage silver, Bella. :)
Bella, your silver finds are lovely. It's fun to hunt for something special when you are out and about at garage and estate sales. Vintage silver has a wonderful patina. ~ Sarah
They're all so pretty Bella and I like the ones with the 'R' too. Of course your own special spoon will be perfect with your tea.
Judith
they are all gorgeous!!!
Dearest Bella,
Indeed the spoon with the initial 'B' and the rose worked in, that's my favorite too!

Hi Bella,
What beautiful old silver pieces! They do really glow...I love how you photographed them with the little stephanotis buds too. So pretty!
Thanks for the kind note about my Tia. I didn't make a post about her passing on August 28 because it's been just too painful to write about yet.
Bella- I love your little engraved B spoon...It should be a Double B though- for Beautiful Bella. I'd say you found some real treasures there. xxoo Diana
Now, this is why I love the blogger world - discovering new blogs that gives me true inspiration! Thanks for sharing these beautiful posts!

You know here in France garage sales do not exist.
Where I am living, we have once a year a flea market "Brocante" that's all.
Brocante are organised in many french towns and villages particularly in September.
Thank you for your kind comments :o)

Oh what a fun collection! I can't believe you found the appropriate monograms on some. (I could really use those "R" spoons, so if you ever tire of them, let me know!) I love having mismatched flatware, and it is always so much fun to find a piece to add to a collection like this. I'm also thinking that friends and family members will have a great time adding to your collection for birthdays, etc. I may have to start a collection like this. Thank you for linking this to Favorite Things Sat. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and find some new additions for your collection. laurie
Bella,
Great finds! Can't wait to see your completed (when is it ever completed??) collection of mix and matches.
Toodlepeeps.
Bella, What a delightful search! I have picked up a few mismatched spoons to pack in my lunches, and I really enjoy them since they are so different than my usual set.
I have a spoon with a lovely B on it too!
Here I am by the river looking at your beautifully styled silver! Only problem-- I have such a P a i n f u l l y S l o w connection!! But you're worth the wait! Beautiful, beautiful post! I have a foolish amount of silverware that I always think is for the shop, but then I never let it go! Your "R's" are wonderful! Your "B" is still loading! Ha! "B" is one of my collected monograms too.So pretty! Happy weekend! JQ

Wonderful finds Bella! I love the fork with the very curvy handle and the spoon that has a web pattern in the middle. They are all so unique and how wonderful you found initials of your own too!
