Happy New Year!!!
(click photos to enlarge)
I thought I would start this year
with a ROSE PARADE...
Going through photos of the past summer
has been a great way to spend this very frigid morning..
Dreaming of this summer's garden
is the perfect way to shake the winter blahs
and warm my heart :-)
Gertrude Jekyll
My lovely English lady
Gertrude Jekyll was the first to bloom
and my most reliable bloomer,
besides she smells incredible...
The climbing Cecile Brunner's tiny blooms
on the other hand
bloomed for only a brief moment...
The delight of the first small summers bouquet...
Burgundy Iceberg
Burgundy Iceberg was new to the garden this year,
I love her cottage style in the mixed beds...
Roses just to play with...
Roses to float...
Just for J...
Ballerina Rose
The wild and casual style of
the Ballerina rose
speaks of lazy summer days...
Abundance...
Enchanted Evening
Enchanted Evening was also new this year,
she is a favorite!
She had a rough time in the wet spring,
I hope she makes it through the winter...
Eden
I think the Eden rose is perfectly named,
She takes my breath away
every time I see her...
Queen Elizabeth
I don't think there is a stronger lady
than the Queen Elizabeth Rose
she bloomed till the first snow...
I can't wait for the garden catalogs
to show up in my mailbox:-)
Come get your girlie girl on
and join Pink Saturday
Thanks for stopping by today!

Beautiful!
What are your favourite catalogs?
Happy New Year, Bella. Oh, so love the Cecil Brunner, it was Mother's favorite. All your roses are exquisite.
Thank you for a wonderful year of friendship.

Lovely roses! Happy New Year! DE
Hi Bella
An excellent idea for a post. We're having mild temperatures and there is much flooding and bleakness to the day.
A parade of beautiful roses is just what I needed to cheer me up and think of what lies ahead in the garden.
I've enjoyed our friendship this year and look forward to continued sharing together.
Hugs,
Judith
I love the Burgundy Iceberg! Gorgeous.
Sorry about deleting that post but I had a spelling error..not a good start for 2011! I wanted to comment on how beautiful your roses were. I dont do well with roses and have given up on them. Too much money for poor results.
But, in place of the failing roses, my garden blooms with glorious Lilacs...I have so many different varieties...I'm so lucky that my husband loves to do all the hard work of making the gardens and my job is to keep him from buying too many plants!! what a great job that is! :)
Again, Happy New Year!
Hello Bella... oooh, roses... my very favorite of all flowers... yours are just stunning!... I too posted some of my photos through the seasons of the past year, and also have a rose post lined up for tomorrow!... we gardeners think alike! I cannot wait for Spring and warm weather and back out to my gardens... I adore climbing roses too and your Cecil Brunner is beautiful!... sending happy thoughts of Spring to you!... xoxo Julie Marie
Oh Bella all your roses are so pretty!!! I love the Eden one the best though! Happy New Year!
Oh Bella, your roses are so pretty. It's cold and windy here too, but this parade of roses brings good mood. Thank you ;-)
Dearest Bella,
What a great idea to have such a Revue of Roses from 2010!
Enjoy your garden dreams for now.

Your roses are soooo gorgeous, and your photos are so professional. You could make a calendar out of all those shots, the last one with the snow is a perfect December.
What beautiful photos. Makes me ready for spring. Happy Pink New Year.
Oh, Bella! You make me long for spring and summer roses...and it seems so far away right now. Love your tour of roses...they are all beautiful! Hugs- Diana
This is just making me look all the more forward to spring & summer...love seeing your beautiful roses!

Hi Bella Sweetie...
Happy Pink Saturday and Happy New Year as well. What a beautiful way to ring in the new year, with a parade of roses. I love them all. How elegant they are. I have never seen a Burgundy Iceberg. Oh that one is my favorite, and I think I will be sending off for some garden magazines as well. I would love to try to plant one of those. It is gorgeous.
Thank you for sharing sweet one. I have so enjoyed this beautiful parade today. Many hugs and much love for the New Year, Sherry

ahhhh, love your rose parade! Thinking wonderful thoughts of the roses to bloom again this year. And I made a resolution to buy the Eden rose and find a place to plant it, even if I have to move another rose.
Hi Bella,
All your roses are so pretty but the Eden rose really does take your breath away.
I am looking forward to the garden cataloges arriving as well.

Guten Morgen Bella
Alles Liebe Claudia

A post according to my heart dear Bella.
You know how much I love roses !
I agree with you, Eden rose (real name being Pierre de Ronsard, bred by Meilland France) is breath taking and so interesting for the painter's eyes.
I did not know Burgundy Iceberg. It is a beauty.
Thanks for sharing all those treasuries.
