For three days
I have been taunted...
by a fickle snow...
she and I wait patiently,
for the big event...
it is expected to arrive tonight...
a big storm brews on the horizon,
6-12 inches of the fluffy stuff is expected..
I do say EXPECTED 'cause
you know how fickle mother nature can be...
I popped out pre-event
and ran some errands,
picked up some odds and ends...
in the end
I think mostly odds...
like a half a dozen cupcake bath melts...
I am envisioning a long walk
in the freshly fallen snow,
followed by a long hot
cupcake sweet bath...
have you let the holidays go?
or have you held on,
just a little?
I have held on a little..
I couldn't part with my tiny wings,
quite yet...
and a tiny strand on rice lights,
an after Christmas sale purchase,
couldn't wait until next year...
to add a little sparkle to a winters day...

I remember how snow in that area is so hit and miss. But one of my daughters is just up the hill in from you and she is already hit with snow.

I just talked to my friend in Snohomish, WA and she said it is snowing there and piling up. I hope you get some snow to enjoy. I have never seen those little lights. Rice lights? SOOOO cute! xo Diana
At least you stocked up on the essentials! Those cupcakes look sweet enough to eat! Just darling! I hope you get your snow. It's been showing up here and there on blogs. Christmas is not quite over yet here. We still got fairy lights. They may have to stay. I'm thinking it over. Things are sweet and pretty here on your blog, as usual!
Bella I always keep a bit of Christmas out all year. I love the sparkle and magic of the lights, it warms me to see them every night. I have them in various places. One on my kitchen table still, though Santa is gone now replaced by a Garden Fairy. The gold grapevine lamppost is now the nightlight for the front porch. I got some copper spray paint today to gild the grapevine leaves that are still falling. Some will be gold, some copper and some another shade in between. I have an old patina pot they will go in. All beautiful!

Love your wings on the birdcage--I think mine will stay out all year. We are getting little bits of snow here and there too and my kids are doing a snow dance every night. Those cupcake bath fizzies are darling! Enjoy!
We'll let you have the snow ;-) I like a little dusting now and then but after the other year when we got 3 ft then more-- I'm okay w/out it. Lovely pics for us to swoon over!!
Oh no, I heard there was a lot of snow out west, don't know where you live. I think those angels wings look perfect all year round!

I know you aren't from the South....because if you were, you would have talked about your milk and toilet paper run. Anytime Mr. Weather Man says there is the slightest possiblity of snow, everyone runs to the grocery store to buy an economy pack of toilet paper and a new gallon of milk along with a bunch of junk food!
We don't get snow often and literally some towns come to a complete halt at one snowflake, so you see the "need" to be prepared. *giggle*
I like your angel wings and think they would look great year round where they are if you want to keep them. Cute bath melts too!

I never heard of rice lights but like what I see. I also bought angel wings and like you use of them.
Love your photos, with or without Snow, that Garden Lady is Beautiful.... I am from Michigan & we always have lots of snow in the winter, but so far, just a wee bit {which I can easily live with} I just hope Spring is Not Delayed!

A new folloer to your blog.. Those cupcakes look yummy. Our snow finally arrived a week ago. It is unusual for us to go almost two winter months without snow.
Did you get your snow, Bella? I heard on the news tonight that there was a storm out your way. At least you're all set for nice sweet bath! :)
