Here in the Northwest,
It is hard to believe it is July...
or summer really...
todays peak temperature is around 65!
so those of you who are used to the heat,
may want to grab a sweater for todays garden stroll!
(click photos to enlarge)
my unknown rose...
she opens to a delight of ruffles....
an abundance of Eden...
who could complain?
the Valerian is coming into bloom,
I think she may be complaining...
she likes it hot!
the teeny tiny blooms of the Beauty Berry....
lavender is dominating the garden right now...
the soft cool color,
feels in line with the soft cool days....
masses of Violas,
happy companions to my Rosemary plant...
Lavender and Delphinium,
with a pinch of Roses in the far back...
the lavender Delphinium up close,
painfully beautiful...
the LAVENDER!!
This past weekend was Mikes and mines
18th anniversary...
last year we visited the Lavender fields in Sequim Washington,
I have linked that on the left sidebar
if you would like to see that magical place...
we really wanted to go again this year ,
but the pups were just too little for such a big day...
I did find a local small farm,
I hope to visit this coming weekend....
the lavender Poppies are blooming....
and so are the Hydrangea...
these are Endless Summer...
I know lots of people tweak the colors of the flowers
by adjusting the soils acidity,
I never bother...
nature provides me with a perfect rainbow...
all on one bush!
Today I am joining...
and
Thanks for strolling today...

Happy Anniversary and thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers. The roses are delightful and so are the hydrangeas. I've never seen poppies that color before either. Beautiful! We're in a heat wave here in Western NY. 65 sounds good to me!

Hi Bella, your garden is so beautiful, and the colors are gorgeous. Oh how I wished it was 65 degrees here, it's still over 100 and no rain. Happy Belated Anniversary!!!

All the flowers are gorgeous, but I LOVE the lavender poppy! I've never seen one before. It's so beautiful!
Sorry you aren't getting summer weather! You just wouldn't believe the heat here. Wish i could send some over! But your garden looks like it knows it's summer anyway. I can't get over all those lavender and purples. Your violets are so sweet. It's all beautiful. I need to trek over to a nearby lavender farm here too. But i can tell you now, the plants look scrawny in comparison to your part of the country. Happy Anniversary you two!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!! Happy Anniversary and wishing you many more :-)

We finally made it back into semi-summer weather here in N. Calif. It almost reached 80 degrees today! Happy Anniversary, ours is this coming Monday and we get to haul another load of stuff from Idaho. What fun. but we will be together. Love that Eden rose, it is on my must have list. I need to scope out local nurseries to see who might have one for me!
Adore the lavender poppies. I don't believe that I have ever seen one before. Happy Anniversary!

It's amazing how many things are thriving in this cold wet spring/summer - who can complain about still enjoying pansies and violas?
wow ......... wishing I had "smell-o-vision" ♥
Lovely soft pastel pinks and purples! I wish our temps were that low! We are having an extremely hot, dry July. Jean
Lovely, lovely, lovely. No sweater needed - after our 90's plus temperatures, it was quite refreshing to be with you!
Gorgeous flower shots - especially love that lavender poppy!
How very beautiful! I love all the purples! I would love the thought of having to wear a sweater!!! 95 predicted here in VA for Thursday. 65 sounds delish!
It blows my mind that it could actually be 65 there, by noon it is too hot to even be in the garden here in Tennessee. You have a wonderful garden.
You have some beautiful blooms for today. Love the soft coloring on your roses and I totally adore poppies!
Wow, your flowers are so beautiful! So many flowers that I just can't grow here in Alberta, so I'm envious!
Oh you have so much beauty for temps to be in the 60's. Looks like the plants are happy. Love the delphinium and pretty poppies. Lucky you to have so many colors on your hydrangea. Awesome roses too.
Your garden is so beautiful! Ahhh, 65 sounds nice right now-it's 98 and my flowers are wilting.

I'm thinking a cool break would be lovely, given how hot and dry it has been here. Your photos are lovely. You have many favourites of mine in the garden: roses, hydrangeas and more! -Karen

My entry.
Hi Bella,
Happy Anniversary! My husband and I celebrated our 24th in May of this year. I love your blog. I've always thought it would be nice to visit the Pacific northwest. I've heard that Washington is a great place for growing flowers -- especially roses.
I love every single flower in this post. The roses, violas (we call them Johnny Jump-Ups), the delphiniums, poppies, and hydrangeas. You photographed those beautifully!
Thanks for visiting my blog this weekend and taking time to leave a comment. I'm glad you enjoyed Old Salem. I appreciate you becoming a follower on my blog; I'm now following yours as well :-) I clicked to follow, but I'm not sure it took. I may have to try again.
I read your cottage garden post from last summer and saw your Gertrude Jeckyll rose. We have those too! I did a post with lots of pictures back in May, I think. It's in my Blog Archive. Hope you have a great week.

How lovely! this year I added a lot of purple/blue tones to my blooming garden and love the result. Something about those tones is very tranquil.
happy anniversary! your hidrangea is lovely indeed the way it is, no need to "adjust" anything :)
