Or was it?
Singer Made these Sweet Childrens Sewing Machines
in the 1950's
They were well made, and fully functional
They had numbered thread guides...
(you can click any phot0 to see a larger image)
They only had a top thread,
but made a sturdy chain stitch.
Complete with the Singer Emblem
I'll bet many a well dressed Dolly
had a Mom with one of these :-)

That is so cute!
That is a very nice sharing of the old children sewing machines. You still see them around antique malls, but they are rather expensive.
This machine is so sweet, I have a few of these, but not one like this!! Hang on to this little gem, you never know in the future the worth of a child's sewing machine!!! Happy VTT!
I wish I had one of those when I was young and interested in sewing doll clothes.
Oh my goodness, what a beauty! I'd love to find one of those.

What a thrill it would have been to have one of those as a girl. I had one that didn't work that well and only managed to frustrate me. That is just gorgeous. What a great thing to have to look at. (or use)
Ooh, what a neat little hand crank machine! You lucky girl!
That is an awesome little machine. Hard to believe that it's a toy version.
I remember these! Gosh,I am showing my age, aren't I?
oh goodness.. super cool machine! and to have it in workable condition is awesome! happy VTT
Great! the new ones don't work well at all. You have a keeper.
My granddaughter wants to learn to sew, shes 8. I am a seamstress so I guess It's about time. I don't however have a great machine like this one. Happy VT

This is adorable! Thanks for sharing!
I have a pink child's sewing machine in my sewing room! Haven't worked in that room for over two years. Broke my arm the summer before last, and spent most of last summer going to the hospital. Now I'm curious to see if mine has the numbering system for threading. I just got it for "decoration". Thanks so much for sharing. ♥♪
I love the little machine,it's such a sweetie...
and a little treasure. Happy VTT..have a lovely weekend.
This is adorable, I've never seen such a thing- I want one now! And oh my gosh, is it pink?! Thanks for sharing!
