France has given the world
many pleasures...
My favorite gift
is simple yet decadent...
(click photos to enlarge)
A simple vintage apothecary jar
holds a wealth of tranquility
when filled with lavender buds...
A simple sprig of Lavender,
laid among linens,
insures their freshness on a winters day...
I picked my buds and sprigs during my trip to
over the summer.
Although not the fields of Provence itself,
when I closed my eyes
immersed in the fragrance
My soul was full...
The height of decadence,
a long hot bath on a cold winters night
with fine milled soaps...
My cherished garage sale fruit bowl,
with it's simple wild roses...
Limoges of France....
Tonight I am joining Frenchy
at Le Chateau Des Fleur's
for her French Obsession Party
Ooh la la!
Thanks for visiting me today!

Lavender is my most favorite scent ... I dream of the day I will be in Provence in all its beauty of color!! I started collecting Limoges a couple of years ago... I can't wait to be able to unpack (still renovating...) and enjoy some of my treasured pieces too! XO HHL

Hi Bella,
The scent of lavender is one of the best there is. I always have some soap bars or little satchels filled with dried flowers in between my linnen as well. The smell is lovely indeed!
Enjoy your day!
Lieve groet, Madelief

Thank you for your sweet words on my blog design too. Yes, Karen is an amazing girl. LOVE lavender. My friends/neighbors live in France half the year & half the year here. There son lives near Provance & they always bring me lavender things. That soap you showed is divine. WHERE did you find it? Have a great day. Charlene

Frenchy also invited me to take part in the "French Inspired Party". My post was one of her favourites also (just below yours)!!
It's a great way to meet other lovely bloggers with a common interest.
I particularly love old linen and lace.

Take care

I have had so many guests lately and fallen behind with following everyone's blogs. I started reading from the new posts through to where I left off last time. I love your blog...it is so pretty and calm and peaceful. I love the blue eggs and the silver and the mirror you painted white. The lavender post has touched my heart. It is such a lovely scent and a gorgeous post.
