The force of nature
is something I marvel at..
(click photos to enlarge)
The tenacity
of the seemingly delicate Crocus...
to stand tall under it's blanket of snow...
this group of Crocus in a sunnier location,
pushing forth
in the frigid weather...
Some may find the tattered beauty of the Primrose sad,
but I admire it's persistence...
fresh blooms already on the way...
I live in a state full of evergreens
but it is the softer green foliage of early perennials
that speak of spring to me...
giving me the resiliency to keep waiting,
spring is but around the corner.
I am joining...
and
Thanks for stopping by...
Bella

I love crocus'! Your photos of are really beautiful! Enjoy them while they last!
I love crocus.. I just wish they stuck around a little longer.. I guess I should just enjoy them while they're here.. but that won't be for a while as there are still mountains of snow on mine.. I'll enjoy yours instead.
Such pretty pictures! I have been looking around my garden lately hoping to see a crocus or two. No luck yet. I love to see them peek through the snow!. I think that spring is right around the corner, my kitty is losing her thick winter coat already!
The pictures of the crocus pushing through the snow are incredible. I can't wait to start gardening again!
It's amazing how during the process of permafrost, seeds are thriving underneath in the warmth of the earth, waiting for their time. And to think, plants can break through concrete. Such power in a tiny life.
Cheers,

The crocuses are so pretty, especially coming out of the snow. A sweet reminder that Spring is near.

I love crocus! They certainly are pretty.
Your crocus pushing through the snow are a delight.
I remember my aunt covering the early blooms with fir twigs when the temperatures suddenly dropped or more snow was expected. I see her still rushing our at an early dusk to protect her darlings from the elements.
Lovely shots n 3 cheers for spring...Happy Gardening n Blogging!

Hi Bella- Those are gorgeous. I wish ours were close to poking their heads up..it will be at least 6 weeks here before we see any green (or purple or any other color besides white). So, that makes it even nicer to see it here. Hugs to you beautiful Bella- Diana
