If April showers bring May flowers...
what will May showers bring??
Hopefully more flowers and not more mud!!
(click photos to enlarge)
Be still my Bleeding Heart!
they hands down win the award
for the most whimsical flower!
the wild variety is so much softer colored...
and so much more delicate...
I would hate to choose a favorite...
the happy spikes of variegate Ajuga....

another variety of Ajuga with Rockcress in the front,
there are also Tulips and Daffs in the back.
this seems to be my catch all bed in spring...
when I buy a pot of this or that for planters,
I take the bulbs out after they wither
and plant them here...
it makes for a happy show,
in an easy to see location
for those wet spring days...
the Windflowers are winding up...
Bluebells in all their glory!
the plants in the bog are beginning to bloom....
this is Pickerel Rush...
the first Columbines are just popping open...
the Lilacs want to open...
but are insisting on a bit more sun!!
I am joining...
and
Thanks for visiting me!

Gorgeous Bella, your garden is amazing! Thankful for April showers!!!
I like bleeding hearts, especially the white ones!
Dear Bella,
We are so lucky to be able to see such wonders of nature. My poor blind friend can not see what we do. I spend many moments describing a bleeding heart and making her feel it as she hold's it in her hand. It is the best part of sharing. Life is beautiful!
Beautiful shots. You are so blessed to have so many different flowers in your yard. I love the bleeding heart!
What a beautiful showing you have. My first Columbines have opened up, too. They are one of my favorite spring flowers. I have not had much luck with bleeding hearts, I don't think our winters get cold enough here
but I love seeing yours. So pretty!
My oh mY oh my...those such beautiful images.
The Columbines are just so very, very intricate, delictate and lovely.

Lovely photos! Enjoyed them a lot. Susan
Hi Bella
I just love pastel shades and you have lots of lavender coloured flowers that appeal to me.
We have had a number of warm gardening days in a row but rain is on the horizon for us now too.
Hugs,
Judith
I too have been wondering what the May showers will bring. I say enough already!

Your "catch all" garden is gorgeous! I've seen planned beds that aren't nearly as lovely. ;)
Thanks for joining the party, Bella. I'm glad to have you back!
