I may still be complaining about the rain,
it is June!
But,
I think it is one of the prettiest times in the garden,
everything so lush and dripping wet from the morning rain...
grab your Wellies and we will go look around...

the Eden roses are almost ready...
their heads drooping after the heavy rain....
I have thornless Zephirine Drouhin
planted on a sitting arbor...
she has been slow growing,
but is starting to take off this year...
the Queen Elizabeth... regal....

as always in the spring,
my heart belongs to Gertrude!!
she is always first to show and always a pleasure!!
this cold wet spring has thrilled the
Casque Rouge Locust tree,
she has never bloomed so heavily....
she reminds me
of Chains of Sweet peas...
Valerian in the front,
Gertrude in the rear...
lush tangles of Columbine...
the first Peonies....
I once saw a group of photos
where you could see the reflection of a garden
in the drops hanging from the petals..
I want to do that some day!
I think about those photos every time I see the drops...
Ladies Mantle,

yesterday we tried to take photos...
both girls tumbled into the little tadpole pond...
today I was lucky to have the extras hands and eyes
of my sweet patient husband...
Iris by her namesake....
and Daisy by her namesake...
dirt on her chin from exploration...

oh, your garden is gorgeous...I had a tree like that! loved it, but we had suckers with huge thorns growing everywhere, we cut it down because of that, I was so sad, do you have that problem?

Bella, you take the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen.... I had to go back several time to look at them over and over. All of your flowers are so beautiful, but my favorite was the Eden roses, the colors are stunning... and the pictures with the pups in them are out of this world beautiful. Just beautiful, Bella! I can see part of your garden reflection in your drop pic. These cool June days have been perfect for transplanting. I have been busy in the garden everyday. Do you have as many weeds as I do??? We have 2-1/2 acres so there is much to do.

You're a gardener after my own heart, Bella! I have a Zeph on my arbor and she is just beautiful right now! It took her a couple years to really take off, but she is gloriously climbing up and over the top now. :) Gertrude is so wonderfully fragrant, isn't she? ♥ And I adore your pups! What breed are they? They almost look like Greyhounds. :) Thanks for the peaceful tour of your beautiful garden.

Beautiful!!!!!!!! Enjoy both the rain & the flowers! It is 101 here today & everything is burning up. We haven't had rain in WEEKS! And the heat/wind is turning everything BROWN already! A rainy morning...SO exotic! Your photos are exquisite. I love all your blooms, but peonies give me a thrill. The stems from the florist here are pretty sad looking for the price, so I will probably pass. It's a joy to see ALL your irises and daisies!

OH I don't know which is more beautiful -- your garden or those ADORABLE puppies!!!!!! I love the pic with the big drop of water! It has done nothing but rain, rain here -- the mosquitoes are so bad that even when it dries up a bit, you have to cover every inch of your body to work out in the garden! Ug!
