do you remember the wild roses
from my garden a couple posts ago?
after I cut them,
I started thinking about Tasha Tudor...
I love her cottage garden
and the complete simplicity of her life...
I often dream or long for such
a quiet and peaceful life....
last week I joined Pinterest
(if you haven't joined yet,
check out the link in my right sidebar)
and added this photo of Tasha
to my garden Inspiration board....
I love the humbleness
of the flowers laid on the old calico apron...
so I decided to try my own vignette,
softer in color
and minus my dirty garden feet :-)
I love the nostalgia
of the apron and roses together...
a visual step back in time...
wild and
unreasonably beautiful...
waste not want not....
in the end,
a bouquet was born :-)
Today I am joining....
and
Thanks for stopping by today....

Hi Bella,
I love Tasha Tudor. She had an amazing garden. I had a book checked out of the library on it and I read it cover to cover. Love your beautiful vignette. Thanks for linking it to Home Sweet Home! Have a wonderful 4th weekend!

Well, I must say that I'm very disappointed at not seeing your feet! Ha! Do overs! That picture of TT is certainly evocative. Just look at those hands! The colors of her clothes and flowers are just luscious. And you have done such a beautiful vignette in her honor. I love the sublety of that flowered tablecloth. Beautiful flowers. I have to go immediately check out your pinterest blog. You must be having all kinds of fun with that too! xx
Gorgeous flowers and stunning shots! What a fresh and beautiful post. Thanks for sharing:)
Hope to see you on my blog:)

Love this post...love the wild roses and the vintage apron on the chair with roses atop and then into a vase.... very nostalgic!!
Don't you wish after a day in the garden we looked as lovely as the roses?):-
Your colorations are fabulously lush and romantic. Thank you for sharing.
Tasha Tudor is one of my all time favorites! I cried when she passed away. Love the wild rose vignette you've created-just beautiful!
By the way, I was just reading some old Victoria magazines with Tasha Tudor features! :D Have a Happy Independence Day!
Oh Bella, What a lovely post. I haven't heard yet about pinterest?? Gotta check it out.
What a wonderful tribute to an incredible woman, Bella. ♥ When Tasha passed away, I found myself weeping at the sight of roses and missing her so much - even though I had never met her. Her simple, gracious way of living deeply touched my heart through her books. What a blessed way to live....Thank you for reminding me to wander my way through her books once again.
xoxo laurie
I have a book about Tasha Tudor and I like her very much. I like your pictures also very much.
Lovely pictures :)

Dear Bella,
Once again, a very touching post. Tasha has been in my orbit for some time now. I missed meeting her in person by 15 minutes. Did I hate myself? Yes, should have left work earlier. But, I did get a signed book anyway. Her friend Tovah Martin I did not miss and she signed Tasha book too! Time goes on!
Have a great Holiday,
Shirley
