I thought you might like to take a stroll
up in the front garden today?
I have mentioned before that although...
I live in a very small town,
I also live very downtown...
So I usually hide out in the back a lot....
(click photos to enlarge)
It looked so pretty today
I thought we would take a peek....
it wouldn't be a cottage garden,
with out a Cottage Rose....
I am crazy for the tall spikes of Delphinium
and this lavender is a favorite....
when you look close,
you see the lavender is surrounded
by a soft sky blue under petal...
another Delphinium,
in the brightest blue ever!
they are always cheery
even on the cloudiest day...
Valerian...
Pincushion Flowers...
up close...
a friend to bees...
the Ballerina Rose dances a pas de deux
with Feverfew...
nearby a rose that was lost over the winter,
has come back as her
wild below the graft original self...
breaking up the soft harmony of the garden,
I really should pull her...
the other side of the fence,
the last Columbine at the foot of the fence...
a long view,
April in Paris at the front of the line....
the very last of the Peonies,
petals thrown all the way backwards,
she reminds me of a bird in flight...
Ladies Mantle frames a porch view of my
white spring pansy basket...
I also lost my Memorial Day Rose,
this wild thing took her place...
she is unruly,
but such a rugged beauty...
I filled my small double bucket with her...
I use this little bucket when I weed and prune,
to gather the snips,
for bringing in to make bouquets....
too pretty to waste...
we should go around back....
so you can get a peek at the Eden Rose...
reflect...
and admire....
The Queen Elizabeth is once again
reaching sky high!
see there are blue skies in Seattle,
once in awhile:-))
The Snowbell tree is in full bloom!
an ocean of petite flowers...
filling the air with their citrus scent...
Today I am joining...
and
Thanks for strolling today....

Your roses and other flowers are all beautiful. It must smell heavenly in the front and back when they're blooming. A house like yours would make make my day for the morning walks with Topaz.

Your Eden roses are to die for. I *heart* them! I also like the blue of the delphiniums.
Hi, Popped over from Outdoor Weds. Love all of your flowers. I blogged about Delphiniums today also. Don't you just love them? I don't have a Lavender one. It is a real beauty. I'm going to have to track one down. Yours is the 2nd post today that I have seen a picture of the Snowbell Tree. I have never heard of it. I love the sweet little blooms. I'm thinking it must not grow in my zone 5. Love all of your roses! I am now following you. Come visit if you get a chance.
