If you remember I told you,
Foxgloves have been loving our cold wet spring...
so it was fun to be able to indulge
in a big bouquet!
they make a luxurious display in the parlor..
a bold pop of summer color...
this shabby french flower bucket
in the perfect shade of faded blue,
was an early spring garage sale find...
I have been waiting for the right flowers to fill it.....
the buckets stand
is hand crafted from rebar....
giving it the perfect french country feel...
up on the mantle top
the table runner was designed by Gertrude Jekyll....
when her petals fell began to fall from an old bouquet,
I pulled the rest off,
and let them dry in place...
her fragrance lingers...
Today I am joining,
and
Thanks for visiting me today...

oh, they are gorgeous, I love watching the bumble bees go inside!
Your foxgloves are such a pretty color-mine are just thinking of blooming soon.
I just enjoyed a peek over the fence of your front garden and it is so beautiful that I think you must have a lot of traffic going by just for a look in!
Take care,
Carolyn
Oooh Bella, your Foxgloves are so beautiful!... and I love your pretty French flower vase and stand... your photos are just stunning... xoxo Julie Marie
These are very pretty views of your room! Your foxgloves are perfect for that bucket and stand. Quite dramatically perfect, I think. Your mantel arrangement is very beautiful shot from that perspective. Love the lighting. Nice to see some of your pretty things, like your old chair and that wonderful glass screen. I keep seeing Atlanta Bartlett. I guess because everything is so beautiful, and also so spare and well edited, and with a shock of beautiful color. Classic. Your mantel and window frame add so much. It makes me want to gut a room and start all over. I sold a white painted oak mantel recently that I always swore was mine. Oh well. It's always something. Thanks for the peek. xx
Oh your foxgloves are totally dreamy...To have enough blooms to cut and bring in doors, total luxury...I think I need to plant me some more :)
I do love the table runner also...just lovely.

Bella, I adore the foxglove bouquet next to the fireplace. And the mantle runner courtesy of Gertrude Jekyll (one of my all time favorite roses)is inspired! Love it!
I absolutely love Foxgloves! Mine are still quite small. Certainly not enough to fill a sweet bucket like that! What a yard sale find. Love your display.

Bella what a beautiful combination, marrying the bucket with the rustic stand and the stunning flowers! Your home is just gorgeous too. xxx
Hi Bella
Lucky you to have enough foxgloves that you can cut a bouquet. And, you're right about them being the perfect flowers for the vintage bucket. Very imaginative to make a rose petal mantle runner, it's pretty.
Hugs,
Judith
