Spring cleaning or necessary fixing?
Today.. I have been sorting through my mess.
I love to collect all things crocheted or embroidered.
last summer... I hit the mother load.
A repeating tag sale from a lady
who was cleaning out her mothers hoarding collections.
I bought alot of unopened plastic grocery grab bags $1.00 each!
I got lots of great stuff and some junk..
lots of in between perfect for repurposing!
So I washed & ironed, and piled it all into a dresser..
here comes the fixing part...
The load was too heavy for the old dresser and the bottom is sagging.
So.. today I am playing with sorting my goodies...
and my husband gets an addition to his honey do list:-)

A sewing basket full of crocheted pillowcase edgings,
and a lace collar hanging over the front...
A crocheted pillowcase edging...
fourteen glorious inches of lace...
sweet dreams!
A pair of so soft silk hankies,
monogramed with a "P"....
A collar crocheted with these beautiful flowers,
they look like daffodils...
This so delicate small doiley...
here is a close up of the flowers...
I don't know how they are made?
but they are so intricate!
I have a thing for guest towels....
here is one with sweet embroidered flowers & swirls...
and another with some cutwork embroidery.
Today I am joing Kathleen at Faded Charm
for WHITE WEDNESDAY
Stop by and join in the fun!
Thanks for stopping by,

Hi Bella
You hit the mother lode with all those lacey things.
I have some antique handkerchiefs and often wonder if the original owners ever used them for the purpose they were made?
Do you actually let your guests use the lacey towels in the bathroom? :-)
What wonderfully special treasures you have, Bella! Delicious dainty items that deserve to be used, not hiding in a drawer. I think that one may be tatting. I don't know how to do it but I sure do love it!!
